Blue is looking for a new foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home 💙

When Blue first came to us, she barely looked like the cat she is today. Her black-and-white coat was so thin and damaged that she almost looked shaved. She was covered in fleas, had sores on her body, and her fur was yellow urine stained from living in poor conditions.

Now? She’s fluffy, healthy, and looks like a completely different cat. Her coat has grown back beautifully, her skin has healed, and she has consistently used her litter box since being with Fishtails.

Blue is about 9 years old, playful, funny, opinionated, and still loves chasing a feather toy like a kitten. She also has one very specific hobby: coloring with her person. Give her a cozy spot nearby while you color and she is completely content to supervise.

Blue must be the only cat in the home and would do best without young children. She wants her person all to herself, and honestly, after everything she’s been through, we get it.

Her current foster situation is changing, so we’re looking for a new foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home where she can keep thriving.

Ralph Lauren was on his way to the euthanasia room when we said, “We’ll take him.”

He had landed on ACCT’s timestamped list after coming in as a stray with a swollen, bleeding paw. He was scared, injured, and running out of time.

Ralph had suspected “pillow foot” affecting both front paws, along with sores on his legs. But look at him now.

His paws are healed and he has turned those painful paws into baking mitts. He opened the very first 24 hour bakery in our area called, Ralph’s 24-Hour Biscuit Co.. And the scared little stray has turned into an absolute HAM. 😂🤍🖤

Business is booming. Biscuits are made around the clock. Overtime is mandatory. Personal space is not part of the benefits package.

He’s looking for a furever home where he can expand operations, keep the biscuit line moving, and finally have a family of his own to supervise full-time.

Stevie Nicks is only about 1 year old, and she was found outside… alone, uncomfortable, and doing her best to survive. But from the moment we met her, we knew she was never meant to face the world that way. 🖤

HOW is Kombu still waiting for his forever home?!

Look at this guy. 😂🤠

Kombu is seven years old, ridiculously fun, incredibly snuggly, and overflowing with personality. He is curious, confident, affectionate, expressive, and apparently capable of serving approximately 47 different facial expressions in a single day.

One minute he’s dramatically yelling from the kitchen counter. The next he’s upside down beside you asking for attention. Then suddenly he’s sitting in a tiny cowboy hat looking like he has a mortgage and several strong opinions.

Kombu LOVES his people. He wants to hang out, play, explore, supervise whatever you’re doing, and then curl up with you when the excitement is over. He really is the kind of cat who becomes your little sidekick.

The only catch? Kombu needs to be your one and only pet. And honestly, look at him. He is more than enough cat for one household. 😂

He has been waiting for someone who wants one amazing, hilarious, affectionate cat to absolutely take over their life.

Arcade update 🖤

Arcade had chest X-rays today with Dr. Cohn, who also happens to be his foster mom, and they confirmed that this sweet boy has pneumonia. Based on how much better he’s already feeling and acting, we’re hopeful it’s improving …and honestly, we hate to think about how bad those lungs may have looked before.

The good news? Arcade is recovering beautifully. He’s eating, playing, soaking up affection, and getting stronger every day.

He’s still in recovery mode for now, but once he’s fully cleared, he cannot wait to have cat friends like him again — to play with, snuggle with, and probably get into a little trouble with. 🥹🐾

🧡 MARMALADE UPDATE 🧡

Marmalade has come such a long way.

Before rescue, he had been wandering the neighborhood and eventually began howling in an alley every night. His first hero was Julia’s Cat Sitting who started feeding him, then noticed a large abscess on his face and trapped him so he could get veterinary care.

At first, Marmalade was terrified indoors. He wouldn’t eat or use the litter box with a person nearby, and once in foster care, he spent months hiding in closets and under beds. Dr Cohn and fishtails were his next heroes. Once healed he went to Maria and that’s where the magic happened

He watched the other cats. Little by little, they showed him that life inside was safe. He started exploring, playing with toys, eating out in the open, and eventually napping comfortably on the bed.

Maria became his forever hero…. Now she says he’s started following her around, relaxing more and more, and recently let her scratch his head for a long time. He put his head down and leaned into it. 🥹

For Marmalade, that is huge.

And we’re not only proud of him. We’re so grateful for the kind of person who understands that not every cat needs humans to be the center of their world.

Sometimes, cats adopt cats. Some cats are happiest simply having a safe home, good food, a warm bed, and another cat to love and trust. It takes a special person to welcome them in and let them be exactly who they are.

Thank you, Maria, for giving Marmalade that kind of home — and for everything you do for the cats lucky enough to cross your path. 🧡
