On the feast of St. Faustina, we remember the Polish nun who received the message of Divine Mercy between the First and Second World Wars, during a turbulent period in Poland and Europe. She died in 1938, just one year before the outbreak of World War II, and the devotion would go on to spread well beyond Poland in the decades that followed.

Watch Faustina and the Spread of Divine Mercy from the series, Divine Mercy with Fr. Michael Gaitley on Formed: https://bit.ly/4dobwkp

The episode looks at St. Faustina’s life, the situation in Poland at the time, and how devotion to Divine Mercy spread beyond Poland in the years after World War II.

After war, imprisonment, and a long period of conversion, Francis turned away from the life he had known and embraced poverty, peace, and the Gospel. Eight centuries later, the Church is marking the anniversary of his death.

Ahead of his feast day, hear his story in Brother Francis: The Barefoot Saint of Assisi, a 10-part audio drama from Augustine Institute Radio Theatre.

Each October, the Church celebrates World Mission Month, a time to reflect on the missionary vocation we all share through Baptism.

This year’s theme, “One in Christ, United in Mission,” reminds us that we are united in Christ and called to share His love with others — not only around the world, but right here in our own families, parish, workplaces, and communities.

As we prepare for World Mission Sunday, please join us in praying for missionaries who bring the love of Christ to people in far-off places, often at great personal sacrifice and risk.

And let us ask the Holy Spirit to rekindle that same missionary spirit in each of us, so that wherever we are, we may be witnesses of Christ’s love.

🙏 One in Christ. United in Mission.

Faith grows when we grow together. 🙏
This summer, the Chester Hub gathered for Discipleship Small Groups — creating space to learn more about our Catholic faith, ask big questions, pray together, and, most importantly, deepen our relationship with Jesus. ❤️‍🔥
Discipleship isn’t just about knowing about Jesus. It’s about learning how to follow Him every day — and helping others do the same.
Here’s a little look at what our Chester Hub community was up to this summer! 👀*****
