Vox Humana

I’ve started getting back into singing again, and have been teaching myself to perform on piano too. I’m really excited about so much music I’m sitting on waiting to release. Anyways, I started learning this one today and thought I’d share. One of these days I’ll get all the words right lol 😂

One if the cool things about this next release was how I created a lot of the sounds. I reamped the synth parts, organ, and bass by playing them through two guitar amplifiers, and then used two small microphones to capture a stereo sound recording. I think it adds a lot of texture to the instruments. To me it makes them sound a little dusty or smokey.

The two amplifiers were handed down to me by my Uncle Eric, after he had passed away and I think seeing them get used like this would have brought a little smirk to his face

Anyways, “Sometimes I Cry” is going to come out on Tidal, Bandcamp, and SoundCloud tomorrow. When it does you should take a listen and add it to your playlists!

Later this month it will be out on Apple Music, TraxSource, Beatport, Pandora, Deezer, and more.

Breaking yah off another piece of the vocals for this one! Can’t wait to put this out next Friday!

Recording vocals for my next release “Sometimes I Cry”. I remember it was so hot in the studio that day lol 🥵

Huge thank you to Tidal for choosing my most recent track “Take Me Higher” for their Artist Spotlight program. I’ve been working super hard on another release and am hoping to get a repeat artist spotlight feature. I’m thinking of uploading “Sometimes I Cry” next Friday. It is in the melodic house sort of realm and I’ve pored so much love and attention into this one trying to make it just right. It features me singing and playing all of the parts. I’m going to post some vids today and over the next week to share the song but this next one should be epic!

Starting to think about putting a live performance act together again with me singing and playing instruments
