Congrats to Brittany on a year at HAP! Brittany is one of our SOAR paralegals, who came to HAP with 4 years of legal service experience and it shows. Brittany’s cool and straight forward approach has helped 9 HAP clients experiencing homelessness obtain their disability benefits, helping them get the financial assistance they need. She is also a vital member of our DEI committee. HAPpy First!! 🎉

Today our staff provided a legal clinic at the Woodstock Family Center, where they spoke to several residents about a wide variety of civil legal matters, including identification documents, eligibility for disability benefits, criminal record clearing, and custody issues. While at Woodstock one of our staff members noted the children playing in the facility and stated that there is always a lively energy that showcases the care Woodstock provides for families who are staying there.
