Moxie in the UK! Let's give this pup some love ❤️

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/193U4qf7k2/

Everyone meet Moxie ❤️

Moxie is a beautiful Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever puppy who has been responsibly bred. Sadly, despite generations of health testing, she was born with congenital megaoesophagus.

At just 8 weeks old, Moxie’s breeder has made the incredibly responsible decision to reach out for help in finding her the perfect forever home where she can receive the lifelong care she deserves.

Moxie’s new family will need to understand her condition and be committed to managing it. Megaoesophagus means that the tube carrying food from her mouth to her stomach doesn’t function properly, causing food to collect and potentially be regurgitated. Because of this, she is currently smaller than expected for her age. However, thanks to the exceptional care she has received from her breeder, she is thriving as well as she can be.

Moxie is coping incredibly well with her condition. Her breeder has established a feeding routine that works brilliantly, including feeding a soft diet and keeping her upright for a period after every meal. As she grows, she will likely require a Bailey chair and will need this dedicated feeding routine for the rest of her life to help her thrive.

We’re looking for a home that can not only manage Moxie’s medical needs but also understands the requirements of a working breed. Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers are intelligent, active dogs who need plenty of mental stimulation, training and appropriate exercise to be happy.

Moxie is currently located in Bristol.

If you believe you could offer this special little girl the loving, committed home she deserves, please complete an application via our website:

Scrappy! Needs a rescue!!! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1GH2d2vMui/

😭 I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY.
NO CALLS. I've never seen this for any dog. Just because he has to eat in a chair, doesn't mean he doesnt deserve to live. It takes 20 minutes a day.

Because the shelter has had a couple of adoptions and it opened kennels. He was extended very briefly.

Here’s the situation…

After taking Scrappy to the veterinarian, it has been confirmed that he has Megaesophagus—a disorder that prevents the esophagus (the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach) from moving food and water normally. Because of this, he cannot eat or drink like a typical dog.

Scrappy will need to be fed and given water in a specialized Bailey Chair (a high chair designed for dogs with Megaesophagus) so gravity can help food reach his stomach safely.

This sweet boy deserves a chance. He didn’t ask for this condition, and with the right care, dogs with Megaesophagus can still live happy, fulfilling lives..

He desperately needs to be adopted or rescued.

An amazing donor is paying for and donating a Bailey Chair they are buying on Amazon. But without someone able to care for Scrappy stepping up he won't make it. He can live a normal life aside from the way he has to eat and drink in the chair. Many of these dogs know its dinner time and run to the chair to get settled.

Time is running out. Please share Scrappy far and wide. The right rescue could be just one share away.

❤️ Please help us save Scrappy ❤️

Hanalei 🐕‍🦺 💕 I'm a pretty 9 month old purebred German Shepherd with a pretty name!

I love to play with my foster bros and sis. I'm curious- playful- love to be with you-typical Shepherd girl!

I love walks and I'm real good at walking in my harness. I'm smart and I catch on quickly. My foster Mom-did I mention she's the best?, is teaching me how to be the best pup I can be!

I have a little thing called Megaesophagus. It means I need a little extra attention during feeding time. I sit real nice in my chair and relax a while after meals.

When I'm not romping with my friends, I enjoy sunbathing in the grass. 🔆

I'm available through Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue. Location: Tennessee
