With rain forecasted for some of this week, Welsh Road Library is trying to step up our indoor offerings and increase the excitement inside.

This week, we'll have two Science in the Summer classes (Tues 8/4 and Wed 8/5 at 2 PM). And then this Thursday 8/6, we'll have the Museum of the American Revolution bring some artifacts found under the museum and share a little bit about the archeology process. Then, they return next Tuesday for a program on Life at Sea!

And with just two weeks remaining, please make sure you're stopping in and updating your gameboards for Summer Reading.

Today is kickoff to our Science in the Summer (will be taking place over the next four Wednesdays). Please be sure to join us this afternoon at 2 PM for a fun program around chemistry. Ideal for students going into 2nd-7th grades.

We are finally back. Starting today, Welsh Road Library has reopened and back to regular hours and we're excited to welcome our patrons back again.

We had to reschedule our Science in the Summer kickoff event but it's now occurring this Wednesday (7/29) at 2 PM. A great science program for children in 2nd-7th grades. This year's theme is all about chemistry.

If your child can't make it this week, we'll be hosting an extra program next Tuesday (August 4th) as well as over the next three Wednesdays (August 5, August 12, and August 19th). We'd love to have you!

Reminder: Unfortunately our Museum of the American Revolution program today is rescheduled to August 11 at 3 PM.

And Thursday's Center for Aquatic Sciences program is still happening on the same day and time but at a different location. The new location is Katherine Drexel Library at 11099 Knights Road.

Welsh Road Library continues to have some building cooling concerns. We are trying to get these fixed ASAP to minimize interruption to the services we offer. We apologize for the inconvenience, however, we do have to report some changes this week.

We're going to have to reschedule tomorrow's Museum of the American Revolution's "Life at Sea!" program. It will now take place on August 11 at 3 PM.

Additionally, our scheduled Animals Champions program from the Center of Aquatic Sciences will now be held at Katherine Drexel Library (11099 Knights Rd, 19154) this Thursday at 1PM. We truly hope everyone that planning to attend still comes out to Katharine Drexel Branch Library.

We usually have different crafts Tuesday through Thursday during the summer, but wanted to take a moment to remind you about our Monday Multiplayer and Film Friday offerings each week as well.

And if you haven't done so already, make sure you stop in and sign up for our summer reading game that lasts through August 14th.

Reminder, next Tuesday, 7/14, we'll be hosting the Museum of the American Revolution for their nautical program: Life at Sea! Starts at 3PM and is perfect for children. We'll also be having the AmRev museum team back next month on August 6th for their program - What's Under the Museum?
