Today is Hunger Action Day!

Although is wrapping up, there are many ways to take action against food insecurity year-round. For example, consider hosting a food drive with your community organization! Food drives are a simple way to make a large impact on neighbors in need. Contact NDS to participate in one of our drives by collecting donations. When the drive is complete, NDS will pick up and distribute your donations to food cupboards throughout the Archdiocese.

Visit our website for further information and additional volunteer opportunities!

Huge thank you to St Jude School in Chalfont for their thoughtful generosity! These snack bags will be redistributed to food pantries and shelters throughout five counties. We love to see service performed with love!

NDS had a blast at Strawberry Mansion Day this past Saturday! We made parfaits, distributed fresh fruit, and sent folks home with strawberry-themed goodies. It was a pleasure to connect with our community partners and to celebrate the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood!

New signage for our new warehouse! 🤩

September 22nd officially marks the first day of fall, or the autumnal equinox, in the Northern Hemisphere. To celebrate, this , we are sharing a fall-themed recipe that is quick and easy to make for dinner or to meal prep for the week. This vegetable soup can be combined with pork, turkey, or chicken, and is packed with protein, making it both filling and nutritious. Visit the nutrition.gov website for more simple and healthy recipes!

On Friday, our Community Food Program got a new home! We moved into a safer and more spacious warehouse in Delaware County, which will allow us to receive, store and deliver food much more efficiently.

Moving soon? Why not choose a mover who will pack up and deliver your non-perishable food items to a pantry in need?

Find a Mover | Move for Hunger Donate your food when you move! Book your next move with a professional mover who will offer to deliver your non-perishable food donations to the local food bank.

It's Day! From receiving deliveries, shopping, managing volunteers, packing and distributing bags of groceries, our food pantries fulfill a life-saving mission to help our brothers and sisters facing food insecurity. Thanks for all that you do!
