Just when you think there’s a weak link in my gear 🤨
This piece just provides the transition from the shoulder straps to the back straps. The apron itself weighs a few pounds, but this piece alone can handle well over 100. This’ll be finished tomorrow, and it’s gonna be by the looks of it, the most complicated scratch apron I’ve ever designed.
All of my straps are reinforced with nylon. After trimming, I heat lock the cut edge with an iron so it won’t fray. Then it gets covered with the leather liner, glued and stitched together. It’s one of those small steps you never see, but I keep it clean because the finish matters just as much as the build.

Wawash Tashi the f**kery that has to take place for this to happen is impressive. This bottle was fine earlier but I poked myself when I went to grab it a few mins ago so now here we are lol

Bench is a mess right now, won’t stay that way. I reset every night so morning hits clean, ready to move.
Just finishing up the first run of reversible scratch aprons. Each apron has two working sides, one side for club days, one side for trial days. Best of both worlds, without having to buy two separate aprons or add unnecessary wear to a custom design. They’re modular too. When one wears out or you just want a fresh look, keep the straps and swap the apron. Simple, practical, built to work.

Yonatan Orozco just picked up the full set for Oujia: harness, short lead, collar. Low-profile handle. This isn’t show gear. It’s built for hard use. Clean lines, but function over form. Every strap is 2ply leather reinforced with nylon, stainless hardware, heavy stitching, finished edges. It’s meant to be put through its paces, then hung on a wall not thrown in a closet. And yeah, it looks good while doing it, but that’s secondary. This set’s got one job: control, durability, peace of mind. That’s it.
