I increased room for my hand between the neck and keyboard and made the keymando fit into its koffin case better.

There is still plenty of room to refine the design and even more room for improvement on my fabrication skills. I edited the photo a bit by blacking out some of the screws because I want to do black gloss coating on them too. I am happy to get to this step despite personal struggles stalling out the progress now and then. Life hits hard. Gotta pick up the axe and fight back.
I think I will trim away a bit mote of the keyboard frame by the neck for some more room while playing up the neck.
I'm also currently trying out a multi effects pedal I might build in to the side opposite of the keyboard where in theory I can bump it with my fore-arm to change tones and effects for the mandolin. I stopped using guitar pedals for a long time now but I do have songs meant to have some overdrive so I'm excited to start using effects again.

Trying to find the form through additive and reductive work. It's hard to not be tempted by the urge to get it perfect the first time which is a ridiculous expectation in prototyping. Plan all ya can but just gotta build and hope for the best. Hopefully I'm gonna learn ways to do it better by getting it wrong.
