NLPP was thrilled to host Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church youth on Monday at our Conestoga-Pearl Community Gardens. The group planted a pollinator habitat and decorated pots that we can use for growing herbs!

NLPP wants to give a shout out to the student volunteers from Villanova who spent their day of service mulching, weeding, and planting at Conestoga-Pearl Community Garden and Orchard, Memorial Garden, and Queen’s Garden this past Saturday! We appreciate their time and efforts!

Deeply Rooted, Urban Health Lab (part of Penn's Center for Health Justice), and Hinge Collective have been bringing Green Nodes to West Philly!

Green Nodes are places that community partners have identified for community-led public space improvements like more trees and planters, resting and gathering spaces, and traffic calming for safer streets, that make you want to stop and spend time in the neighborhood.

Two more pop-up workshops are coming (see image) to help imagine what’ next.
