As an editor for jGirls+ Magazine, Sima gained confidence, connected with a pluralistic Jewish community, and learned from those around her. We're proud of all she's accomplished and can't wait to see where her passion and voice take her next.

Last month, the Moving Traditions staff gathered in Philadelphia from across the country for our second annual staff off-site! While we were together, we spent time Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel thinking about professional growth through skills and competencies, made plenty of time for formal and informal team building fun, and dug into strategic planning. We also celebrated our colleague Sarah Fox for reaching a milestone of 20 years with Moving Traditions. We look forward to carrying this energy and feeling of connectedness back to our respective remote workspaces.

This summer, our staff had an amazing time visiting Surprise Lake Camp in NY, Tel Yahuda in NY, Camp Galil in PA and Ramah Day Camp in Philly to lead in-person trainings for camp staff and counselors-in-training on how support the youth in their care. For her Kol Koleinu capstone project, Chloe R. created Painting a Safe Space, bringing participants together to paint their experiences and emotions in a supportive environment. Through creative expression and shared reflection, her project reminded others that they are not alone in what they're feeling.
