FringeArts explores the boundaries of art by presenting the newest, most cutting edge art from Philadelphia and around the world. www.FringeArts.com

FringeArts is Philadelphia’s home for contemporary performance, presenting progressive, world-class art that stretches the imagination and boldly defies expectation. As the city’s lead experimenter in the arts, FringeArts exposes audiences to unpredictable dance, theater and music performances by accomplished and emerging innovators who are pushing the boundaries of art-making and redefining the artistic landscape worldwide. Year-round programming is presented at FringeArts’ state-of-the-art center on the Delaware River Waterfront—a renovated historic building that also houses a restaurant, La Peg, and b**r garden. Each September, the organization presents the annual Fringe Festival, a 17-day celebration that fills the city’s neighborhoods with more than 1,000 curated and independently produced contemporary performances.

🏆 Introducing the 2026 Artist Choice Awards!
This year, we asked participating Fringe artists to vote for their favorite show (excluding their own). The five shows with the most votes are our inaugural Artist Choice Award recipients!

✨ The Groundhog — “This show rocks… It’s a love letter to the students that live in artists everywhere.”
✨ Tuzluk — “Their characters are razor sharp, and their connection with the audience is a true marker of their brilliance as a clown.”
✨ FORIEGNER — “I will never be the same…”
✨ My Allowance — “The performance reminded me of the sacredness of objects, how much they can hold, beyond just being props.”
✨ Dickie Dickie Dicky Donnie — “Distal appreciation of human behavior mirroring the experiment.”

Congratulations to all Artist Choice Award recipients 🎊

We lost the incomparable Dito van Reigersberg—founder of Pig Iron, drag artist, dear friend—this summer. The Philly Fringe’s excellence, abundance, and collaborative spirit are all a testament to the incredible community which Dito helped to shape, ever since the first festival in 1997.

Tomorrow, Sunday, September 27, the closing night of the 2026 fest, our longtime partners at Pig Iron Theatre Company, along with us, the Martha Graham Cracker Band, the Bearded Ladies Cabaret, and Ensemble Arts, will host an evening of performance at the Miller Theater celebrating Dito and featuring many of his closest artistic collaborators.

The evening will include performances from: The Bearded Ladies, Johnny Showcase, Natalie Palamides, Geoff Sobelle, Heather Christian, Ethan Lipton, Ballet X, Selections from Pig Iron’s Poor Judge and Love Unpunished, Nichole Canuso, Songs from Lashed but Not Leashed, and many more.

Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7:30pm at the Miller Theater 📍
🎟Tickets are PWYC ranging from $10–$250; all net proceeds will be donated to Blood Cancer United.

Virtuosic composer-performers, multi-instrumentalists, and married couple Holland Andrews and yuniya edi kwon present the world premiere of an elemental new opera.

Shaped by Holland and yuniya’s lived experiences as partners and trans artists of color, this multidisciplinary performance engages questions of q***r parenthood, trans pregnancy, and socio-political disintegration through a poetic, mythological lens.
