This week I got to be a badkhn with an all star klezmer band who played some charts I wrote for an amazing event with amazing people. The next day I got flowers sent to me from a very cool person I’m dating. Today and yesterday I’m working on an awesome synth rock record. Things are looking up. 🥰

I’d like to invite you to The Shalom Center’s Hoshana Rabbah ActiFest tomorrow evening at Masjidullah in Philly (and virtually). I’ll be leading an all-star klezmer band, singing, and practicing the ancient art of badkhones as a sacred jewish jester. The singular Simha Toledano will be emceeing and ritual-leading! There will be a gameshow in which the winner gets to be inscribed in the book of life before the gates close (or do they?) and a cathartic klezmer dance party to end the night, celebrating the importance of self-care and community-care. Also dinner and birthday cake to celebrate R’ Waskow’s 91st! (food and cake regrettably not available for virtual attendants)
