Tires don’t belong on our streets and with the Tire Round-Up Program, communities are taking action.

Bring your unwanted tires to 3rd St. and Allegheny Ave. tomorrow 9a.m. - 3p.m. and help keep Philadelphia clean by preventing illegal dumping. This citywide effort empowers block captains and community groups to remove illegally dumped tires from neighborhoods while earning funds for future projects. With the gradual improvement of the air quality, trash and recycling collections will resume on Saturday, July 18. Crews will work through the weekend to collect materials.

Residents may use the six Sanitation Convenience Centers open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to drop off their materials also https://ow.ly/1gL250Zp54g.

Due to the Code Purple Air Quality Alert, trash and recycling collections scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, have been suspended out of abundance of caution for the health and safety of our employees. Collections will resume once air quality conditions improve.
