Parenting isn’t about giving our kids everything we wish we had. Sometimes it’s about giving them the tools we wish we had learned sooner. 🤍

How to communicate.
How to regulate their emotions.
How to set boundaries.
How to handle disappointment.
How to repair after conflict.
How to love themselves without needing constant validation.

Breaking cycles isn’t always about doing more for our children. Sometimes it’s about teaching them differently.

We can’t protect them from every hard thing—but we can give them the skills to navigate hard things when they come. ✨

Date night is important… but let’s not forget the after-party. 😏🔥

When you’ve got work, kids, laundry, schedules, and approximately 47 other things competing for your attention, intimacy can VERY quickly become “we’ll get to it later.”

And sometimes… later needs to be put on the calendar. 👀

Prioritizing intimacy doesn’t make it less spontaneous or romantic. It means you’re intentionally making space for the part of your relationship that can easily get pushed aside.

So yes—schedule the date.
Get dressed up.
Flirt with each other.
And maybeeee don’t schedule anything too early the next morning. 😉🔥

When was the last time you and your partner had a REAL date night? 👇

Cancer changes more than the body. It can change desire, confidence, comfort, identity, and the way a couple touches each other. If intimacy has felt confusing after treatment, please know this: there is a way back, and it does not begin with pressure. It begins with safety, grief, patience, and language. That work matters.

Honest question: how often is 'I am tired' actually a softer way of saying 'I do not feel good in my body right now'?
Body image has a huge impact on closeness, touch, initiation, and avoidance. That does not mean you are vain. It means your body experience matters in your relationship.

A couples intensive is not only for relationships in crisis. Sometimes it is the right fit for busy, high-functioning couples who need focused help faster than weekly sessions can provide. An intensive can create enough space to untangle resentment, rebuild communication, and finally talk about the things that keep getting postponed.

Message us if you want to know whether an intensive or weekly therapy is a better

Couples do not only fight about money. They fight about what money means: safety, freedom, control, worth, scarcity, generosity, adulthood. When money stress goes unnamed, it often leaks into s*x, patience, affection, and everyday tone. If your relationship has felt tense lately, it may be worth asking whether the real argument is under the budget spreadsheet.

Save this for your next money conversation. If money and intimacy are getting tangled, support is available.

When the nervous system is overloaded, desire often becomes a low priority not because you stopped loving your partner, but because your body is busy surviving. Before you label yourself 'low libido,' ask a gentler question: how safe, rested, present, and emotionally connected do I actually feel lately? Desire is often downstream from the rest of your life.

Share this with someone who needs a kinder explanation than 'just try harder.

A lot of couples wait until something is wrong to talk seriously. A better rhythm is a 10-minute weekly check-in: What felt good between us this week? What felt hard? What do you need more of next week? What should we protect on the calendar? Short, predictable conversations prevent resentment from becoming the relationship’s background music.

Comment 'CHECK-IN' and use this tonight. If you want guided support building new rhythms, contact Raport Counseling Center.

Grief changes the body, the nervous system, and the way closeness feels. Some people want more touch. Some want less. Some swing between both. There is no single “healthy” way to experience intimacy while grieving. What helps is honesty, pacing, and tenderness toward the body that is trying to survive something hard. If grief has changed your relationship to s*x or connection, that is not strange. It is deeply human.

Share with someone walking through loss. Therapy can make room for grief and partnership at the same time.
