During July, our preschool classroom transformed into a beautiful summer garden and a sandy beach shore 🏖️ 🏜️, creating an exciting environment for learning through play. Children enjoyed our ice cream🍦 van model filled with colorful paper ice creams and cooling fans 🪭to celebrate the warm summer weather. We also created two interactive models to explore the five senses 👁️👃👂👅👌, helping children discover how we see, hear, smell, taste, and touch the world around us. Throughout the month, we learned about summer sights ☀️, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures, from fireworks 🎆, kites 🪁, and beaches 🏖️ to gardens 🪏, insects 🐞, vacations, delicious summer treats. We also reviewed all the letters of the alphabet, reinforcing letter recognition and early literacy skills while having fun exploring the joys of summer.

This month, we dove into our theme, “A Summer of Senses🌞.” The older toddlers explored the sights👀, sounds👂, smells👃, tastes👅, and textures ✋of summer through experiences in our backyards, at the seashore🌊, in sunny gardens 🧑🏽‍🌾, and during summer travels🚗. They enjoyed smelling fresh cut grass and blooming flowers, hearing buzzing insects 🐞 , chirping birds 🐦 , and crashing ocean waves, feeling the warm sunshine, cool water, soft sand, and other natural textures, tasting delicious summer treats like fresh fruits 🍉 and barbecue 🍖 flavors, and seeing the bright colors and beauty of the season all around them. Along with our sensory adventures, we continued reviewing our colors and shapes, practiced recognizing the letters A–M, and counted and identified numbers 1–10. It was a month full of exploration, discovery, and hands on learning as we experienced summer with all five senses.

This month, our preschoolers went on a “Camping Adventure!🏕️” We learned about the numbers 19 and 20, the letters Ll and Kk, and explored our color and shape of the month: black ⚫️, like a big black bear 🐻 , and a star ⭐️ , like the ones that twinkle in the night sky 🌌 . We lit up the starry night with our lanterns 🔦and we discovered some of the essentials needed for a camping adventure. We couldn’t forget about our forest friends, like the Bears 🐻 , Beavers 🦫 , opossums🐀 and skunks 🦨 ! Our preschoolers designed their own stinky skunks 🦨 and explored the different scents and pheromones that skunks use to communicate. We also had fun at our “Be You Campsite”, complete with tents ⛺️ , a starry sky ✨, a forest 🌲, and all of our camping essentials 🥾🔦🛶. We prepared to go kayaking🛶 through rough waters 💦and even went birdwatching 🦜👀with our binoculars. There were so many exciting places to explore! Using our large RVs 🚐, we traveled to woodland hideouts , waterfalls, and rivers🌊, discovering all the wonders nature has to offer. Our preschoolers enjoyed exploring the great outdoors and putting their camping knowledge to the test. It was a month full of adventure, imagination, and hands on learning!

This month, our older toddlers went on an exciting camping adventure and had so much outdoor fun 🏕️🌲🔥 The kids made their own binoculars and went on a bear hunt, then decorated their very own tents and sleeping bags for the perfect camping setup 🐻🔭⛺ One of their favorite activities was using real flashlights to make shadows all around the classroom 🔦✨ The children also loved learning about campfire safety and gathered around our pretend campfire during circle time to read camping stories together 🔥📚❤️This month was full of camping adventures, cozy memories, and lots of happy campers! 🏕️🐻✨ It has been such a joy going on these adventures with my students, and I’ll always cherish the memories we made together. 💚 Until our trails meet again my favorite little campers!🏕️🌲 Signing off, Ms Azuri🤎

Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet Zara with the biggest smile!

Blast off into learning fun! 🚀 Our classroom transformed into an outer space adventure, with stars ⭐️and planets 🪐 hanging from the ceiling and an astronaut 🧑‍🚀 landing on the moon 🌖. Throughout the month, we explored our amazing planet from the inside out, starting deep within the Earth’s core 🌏, moving through the hot, squishy mantle, and up to the crust where we live. We learned about rocks 🪨, minerals, and even meteorites from space, and discovered how powerful natural events like volcanoes 🌋 and earthquakes shape our world. We explored different landforms including mountains ⛰️, deserts 🏜️ , forests 🌳, jungles, beaches 🌊, and caves, and learned that water covers much of our Earth, making it the “blue planet.” 🌎 We also talked about how land is home to people, animals, and many habitats. In our classroom, we added a volcano model 🌋 and recycle boxes to help children understand how the Earth works and how we can take care of it. As we celebrated Earth Day, we practiced ways to protect our planet by learning to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost, helping children understand that even small actions can make a big difference! 🌎✨ Preschoolers also learned the letters E and Q, and practiced counting numbers 15 and 16.

This month, our older toddlers explored Earth and space and had so much hands on fun 🌍🚀✨ The kids started by learning about space, including comets, the sun, and how planets orbit 🪐💫 They loved discovering all the planets, with Estella’s favorite being Jupiter and Angelena loving Venus 💖Our little astronauts then traveled back to Earth, where we explored beaches, jungles, and deserts 🏝️🌴🏜️ The fun continued with learning about recycling, meteorites, and volcanoes 🌋♻️ The kids painted their own volcanoes with bright lava colors, and even made one erupt Zara can tell you all about magma! 🎨🔥We wrapped up with an Earth Day sensory bin, sorting items like cardboard and plastic, and learning about compost and plant cycles 🌱🌎💚 This month was full of earth discoveries, exciting experiments, and lots of fun 🌍✨
