Joey “The Tank” Dawejko is back where he belongs. The Philadelphia heavyweight has 46 professional fights under his belt, and a résumé that includes battles with Frank Sanchez, Bryant Jennings, Sergey Kuzmin and Richard Torrez Jr.

Standing across from him is Raleigh’s Joel “QuietStorm” Caudle, a seasoned heavyweight who has been in with Bryant Jennings, Lenier Pero and Sonny Conto, and comes into October 16 off a split-decision win over Portland Pringle earlier this year.

No prospects being protected here, two veteran heavyweights who know exactly what they’re signing up for.

FRIDAY THE 16TH.
Philadelphia boxing the way it’s supposed to feel.

SIGNED. SEALED. NOW BACK TO WORK. 🥊

Newly signed Blue Corner Promotions heavyweight Justin Litz makes his first appearance under the BCP banner on Friday, October 16th, when he steps in with New York heavyweight Mike Cserenyi at the 2300 Arena. Justin Litz

Litz is coming off a statement win at our July show, dropping Maurice Morris multiple times before stopping him in the third round.

Across the ring is a guy coming to fight. Cserenyi owns four-round wins over Julio Mendoza and Daniel Bean, and at 6'1", 240-plus pounds, he gives Litz another real heavyweight in front of him.

We didn’t sign Justin to sit around and pad a record. We signed him to fight, develop and keep moving forward.

WE’RE THREE WEEKS OUT. 🥊🔥

Blue Corner Promotions is back at the 2300 Arena on Friday, October 16 with another loaded night of professional boxing, powered by Guber Sports LLC.

Joey Dawejko. Ali Ellis. Lisandra Contreras. Justin Litz. Brendan O’Callaghan. Jaclyne McTamney. Rasheen Brown. Francisco Rodriguez. Billy Briscoe Jr.

And just so we’re clear...

You don’t have to “bring Philly boxing back.” It never left.

Some people come to Philadelphia to promote boxing and use our legacy. We promote Philadelphia boxing because this is home.

The fighters are here. The gyms are here. The people are here. The history is already here.

Built here. Promoted here. Fought here.

FRIDAY THE 16TH.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM, JERMAINE CLARKE. 🥊💪 Jermaine Clarke

Blue Corner Promotions is proud to officially name Jermaine Clarke of Maine Objective Fitness as our in-house Strength & Conditioning Trainer.

Jermaine isn’t new to boxing and he definitely isn’t new to our team. His work with Joey “The Tank” Dawejko goes back more than a decade — he was already being credited as Joey’s strength trainer during his run of first-round knockouts back in 2014.

Now we’re making the relationship official.
Jermaine is currently handling the strength and conditioning work for Joey Dawejko, undefeated Ali Ellis Jr., and our newest Blue Corner Promotions signing, heavyweight Justin Litz, with all three putting in work toward October 16th at the 2300 Arena.

For us, building Blue Corner Promotions isn’t only about signing fighters. It’s about putting the right people around them and giving them the resources to develop, perform and be at their best when it matters.

Jermaine knows these guys, he knows boxing, and he knows what it takes to prepare a fighter physically without trying to turn a boxer into a bodybuilder.

We’re happy to have him officially in-house.

THE ASSASSIN GETS AN INTERNATIONAL TEST. 🇺🇸🇮🇹

Jaclyne McTamney is 5-0 and coming off the strongest performance of her young career, dropping Colleen Davis twice on her way to a six-round unanimous decision. Jaclyne was just ranked #1 featherweight by the National Boxing Assoc. and on October 16th, she takes another step forward when Italy’s Jessica “Bulldozer” Bellusci comes to Philadelphia.

Bellusci brings 13 professional fights, has gone eight rounds multiple times, fought for both Italian and international titles, and has shared the ring with former world champion Jelena Mrdjenovich. She’s experienced, durable, and she’s not flying across the Atlantic to make up the numbers.

NO EASY FIGHTS. 🥊🇩🇴

When we signed Lisandra Contreras, she made one thing clear from the start, she is ready! “Lisa” contreras p.

So for her first fight under the Blue Corner Promotions banner, we're giving her exactly what she asked for. No more 4 rounders.

On October 16th, the undefeated Contreras steps up against veteran Erika Jeanette Hernandez Abarca, a fighter who has shared the ring with the likes of Layla McCarter, Jessica Camara, Alma Ibarra, Kandi Wyatt, Lindsay Garbatt and Bree Howling. Hernandez has gone eight rounds with world-level opposition and has made a career out of taking tough assignments.

Lisandra didn't sign with us to pad a record. She wants to be tested, she wants to develop, and she wants to prove she belongs at the highest level.

This is how you build a FIGHTER.

🚨 HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT

Baltimore’s Demalik Miguel is coming to Philly looking to keep his perfect start rolling. Miguel made his pro debut in June with a 38-second first-round KO, then followed it up with another win in August.

Waiting for him is Justin Litz, who knows the Blue Corner ring well. Litz is coming off a third-round TKO win over Maurice Morris at our July 25th show at The Fillmore, scoring multiple knockdowns before the stoppage.

Two heavyweights coming off wins. Two guys looking to keep building. Somebody’s momentum has to take a hit. 🥊💥

THIS IS WHAT BOXING IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE. 🥊

On October 16 at the 2300 Arena, Rasheen “Sugar Sheen” Brown (15-1) takes on Yeyery “La Bujia” Castillo (14-3) in a fight between two accomplished fighters who didn’t need to be convinced to take a risk.

Brown is Philadelphia born and bred. The southpaw is riding a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a 39-second first-round stoppage in March.

“Sugar Sheen” has also been one of the standouts for the Philadelphia Smoke in Team Boxing League. He played a major role in the Smoke’s run to the 2025 MegaBrawl Finals, earning 1st Star honors in their semifinal victory, and has continued to be one of Philadelphia’s top performers in the league.
Across from him is Yeyery “La Bujia” Castillo, a dangerous fighter from La Romana, Dominican Republic. Castillo has stopped 11 opponents in his 14 professional victories and has shown throughout his career that he’s willing to take tough assignments.

That’s what makes this fight interesting.
15-1 vs. 14-3.

Too often in boxing, good records are protected. Fighters wait for the perfect opponent, the perfect situation, or somebody else to take the risk. Not these two.

Two guys with excellent records were offered a real fight against each other, and there were no questions and no hesitation. They wanted the fight.

Both Brown and Castillo are represented by Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions, and we appreciate Marshall and King’s for working with Blue Corner Promotions and being willing to put their fighters in meaningful fights.

This is the kind of matchmaking we want at Blue Corner. Good fighters fighting good fighters.

OFFICIAL FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT 🩸🥊

JOEY “THE TANK” DAWEJKO vs. STEVEN TORRES

Two Pennsylvania heavyweights. Two men with something to prove.

Steven Torres comes down from Reading standing 6'7" with an 81-inch reach — nearly a full foot taller than Dawejko. He started his career tearing through opponents, reaching 5-0 with five stoppages and scoring a first-round TKO on the Manny Pacquiao–Yordenis Ugás card at T-Mobile Arena. He later stopped previously unbeaten James Evans in three rounds. Now 6-2-1, Torres enters October 16 looking to remind the heavyweight division why there was so much attention around him in the first place.

But standing across from him will be a man with just as much on the line.

Joey Dawejko is coming home with something to prove.

“The Tank” has been fighting at the highest levels of the sport for more than 15 years. Before turning professional, the Philadelphia heavyweight went 56-12 as an amateur, won 14 national championships and captured gold at the 2008 World Youth Championships. As a pro, he's shared the ring with world champions, contenders and some of the biggest heavyweights of his generation.

He's also been counted out before.

In 2014, Dawejko resurrected a stalled career by upsetting ranked heavyweight Derric Rossy, then ripped through a string of opponents as he rebuilt himself into a legitimate heavyweight contender.

Now, at 36 years old and coming off three straight losses, he's trying to do it again.

Torres is younger.
Torres is taller.
Torres has the reach.

But Dawejko has spent a lifetime in fights where none of that mattered.

Reading vs. Philadelphia.
6'7" vs. 5'10".
A heavyweight trying to re-establish himself vs. a Philadelphia veteran refusing to let somebody else write the final chapter of his career.

Neither man can afford to treat this like just another fight.

FRIDAY THE 16TH. Somebody's comeback starts here. 🩸🥊

8-0. 8 KNOCKOUTS. NOW THE EXPERIENCE LEVEL GOES UP. 🥊

Francisco “Sisco Kid” Rodriguez has been perfect so far, with every professional victory coming by stoppage. On October 16th, he steps in with the most experienced opponent of his young career.

Across the ring will be Derrick Murray, a 32-fight veteran who has shared the ring with names like Gabriel Flores Jr., Jordan White, Jamaine Ortiz and Joet Gonzalez.

For Sisco, this isn’t just about keeping the knockout streak alive. It’s about showing he’s ready for the next level.
