Yesterday, some of our youth had the incredible opportunity to participate in a panel discussion with Strike Out the Stigma in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month! β€οΈβΎοΈ
We joined several mental health specialists, Phillies Hall of Famer Juan Samuel, and the Director of Multicultural Affairs at Song for Charlie for an important conversation surrounding culture in sports, mental health, substance-use awareness, and the dangers of counterfeit pills.
The discussion created a space for honest conversations about some of the real challenges impacting our youth and communities, while also highlighting the importance of culture, representation, making informed choices, and knowing where to turn for support.
A huge thank you to Strike Out the Stigma and everyone involved for welcoming us and creating such an impactful and educational experience! β€οΈβΎοΈ
