The ChangeMakers Summit is a wrap, and it was an honor to facilitate conversations at the intersection of leadership, relational health, and purpose. โจ
Meaningful change is rarely a solo endeavor.
Surround yourself with people who arenโt just talking about the change they want to see, but are doing the work to create it.
What a room!

In an ideal world, the shared spaces we work and serve in would always be healthy and conflict-free. But even with our best attempts, relational tension is inevitable.
Conflict resolution can be draining, but it doesn't have to be.
When you know how to be strategic about moving two people toward resolution, conflict becomes far more manageable.
Here are two questions that can help you quickly figure out what you're actually dealing with and where to go from there.
And these aren't just for work. They work just as well with friends, family, and relationships too.

How do we build the relational skills to support our students, support one another, and do it all without burning out?
Todayโs staff training is a wrap!
We dove into the relational skills todayโs educators need to meet the evolving needs of students while strengthening the team around them and staying grounded through the demands of the work.
Thank you to the entire team over at Vocatio Career Prep for your openness, engagement, and willingness to wrestle with the real challenges facing teachers and students today.

The hardest thing about how quickly our world is changing is that it impacts EVERY area of society. ๐ข๐จโช๐๏ธ๐ซ
Digital dependence, social disconnection, and growing relational strains are quietly shaping how we do life.
That means being more intentional about strengthening the fabric of the spaces where we live, learn, and work.
Next week, weโll be partnering with ๐ฉ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ to spend time with local educators digging into the changing dynamics impacting the classroom (digital distraction & attention deficits, behavioral concerns, home-life challenges etc.) and how staff can better support one another and connect with their students.
This is a closed training. But if your team is looking to not only work better together, but build the relational skills to better impact those you serve, please connect with us.โจ

What a joy to spend the day training a VERY special group of humans.
Today's team was an exceptional mix of nurses, hospital staff & counselors, all there to serve kids experiencing homelessness or coming from situations of abuse or neglect.
Their care was so genuine, and it was clear how passionate they were about making a difference in these kids lives.
I think they may have been my favorite work team this summer. โค๏ธ

Bittersweet to see summer season slowly winding down as we prepare for our final Relational Skills Training with camp staff TOMORROW in Long Island.
Itโs been such an enjoyable summer working with young teams and watching them lean into better communication, greater self-awareness, and stronger working habits with one another.
Looking ahead to fall, our focus will be on organizations, nonprofits and ministries. Weโre also opening new spaces for our ๐-๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉโfor leaders ready to go beyond one-time training sessions and build a healthier team culture from the ๐๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ป ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐๐ผ๐บ-๐๐ฝ.
Full speed ahead. โจ
How do you handle challenging people well enough to still have productive exchanges?
The key isn't reacting to the behavior. It's understanding what's driving it.
If you can learn to predict and correctly interpret the behaviors that make everyday interactions so challenging, you can choose productive responses that ultimately spare you the headache of uncessary conflict. โจ
Ps. Forgive the casual attire. Yesterday was spa day ;)
In a culture that rewards outrage, staying grounded may be one of the most countercultural choices we can make.
Remaining composed when others are dysregulated is the leadership flex that's rarely celebrated, but never unfelt. โจโจ

Today, work became deeply personal.
Thia afternoon, I led a relational skills staff training at Camp Kon-O-Kweeโthe very camp where my brother dedicated over a decade of his life before losing his battle with cancer.
I haven't been back since.
I invited my parents to join me so we could spend some time together at the Memorial Camp Fire built in his honor. It was our first time seeing it in person.
What struck me most was that none of the staff I trained today had ever met my brother. They were simply too young.
Yet it was clear that his presence is still felt here, and I was reminded that the impact he left on this place is still VERY much alive.
Through their warmth, openness, and enthusiasm, I felt closer to my brother today than I have in a very long time. It's funny how those things work. โจ
Thanking God for this full-circle moment.
Research supports that someone can hear a 100% accurate fact....and still walk away with their mind unchanged.
For influence to truly take root, there is a relational infrastructure that must first be established.
Information alone does not change people. In reality, trust, credibility, and relational connection determine whether the words you share will carry the weight and impact you intend.
Unfortunately, many people have become so focused on winning the argument that they fail to realize they may have won the debateโฆ while simultaneously losing the person.
