Fallible Being

We’ve finished our next track Flower Crown, which is on bandcamp and will be on streaming soon. We’re all very proud of this one, from the background textures , the driving bassline , the groove in the drums, and the lyrics . did a fantastic job as always blending all those sounds together. There are millions of songs about love, and while it’s tempting in a song to take a binary approach on the topic, every relationship is dynamic and sometimes even dissonant. My hope is that when listening to the song that you project your own relationships into it, and just feel whatever that creates for you.

After a very long hiatus I’m very excited and proud to be releasing a new single as a band again. Releasing music into the world can feel fraught with risk: risk of failure, risk of misunderstanding, risk of exposure. Ultimately that is part of what makes creating so interesting and exciting. As always, my primary goal in songwriting is a selfish catharsis, but one through which experiences and relationships are born through the process of constructing and performing. A great amount of care and consideration went into every part of this, and I especially want to thank Patrick Clody at Delipres for a fantastic mix.
