This patient has a genetic pocket of tissue in the lip, which created a natural area of fullness that we weren’t trying to remove or completely change. The challenge was working around her anatomy and carefully placing filler in a way that would blend that pocket into the surrounding lip, improve symmetry, and create a smoother, more balanced result.

This was definitely not a “just add volume” case. It required strategic placement, patience, and a lot of respect for her natural anatomy.

The goal is never to make every set of lips look the same — it’s to work with what someone naturally has and create the most harmonious result possible. And this is one I’m really proud of.

For this patient, we used dermal filler (Evolysse Smooth and Form) in carefully selected areas to replace lost volume and improve overall facial balance, along with Jeuveau in the upper and lower face to soften unwanted muscle movement and complement her results.

We’re looking for models for an upcoming injectable training at Arcadia Skin.

Models will receive complimentary treatment in exchange for allowing treatment to be performed during a hands-on provider training and consenting to photography/video for educational and marketing purposes.

To qualify, you must:

* Have had no neurotoxin (Botox/Dysport/Jeuveau, etc.) within the last 3 months
* Have had no filler in the treatment area within the last 6 months
* Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
* Have no active infections and not currently be taking antibiotics
* Have no dental work within 2 weeks before or after treatment
* Be an appropriate candidate for mild-to-moderate correction with HA filler

Limited model spots available.

One of the most common things we hear is, “I don’t want that white line above my lip that looks like filler migration.”

Immediately after treatment, it’s completely normal for the vermilion border (the edge of the lip) to look more pronounced due to swelling. This temporary swelling can create the appearance of a lighter or more defined border, which is often mistaken for filler migration.

As the lips heal over the following days and weeks, the swelling gradually resolves, the filler integrates into the tissue, and the vermilion border softens. By 3 months, you’re seeing the true healed result—beautiful definition, natural contours, and lips that look refreshed rather than overfilled.
