“Genetic counseling is vital for assessing inherited disease risks, interpreting complex genetic results, and guiding medical management for individuals and families." — Ashley

Ashley is one of the 30 million Americans living with a rare disease. For her, genetic counselors are essential to understanding her health and navigating her diagnostic journey. But Medicare does not currently recognize genetic counselors as healthcare providers. This creates “red tape,” billing hurdles, and delays in care.

The Access to Genetic Counselor Services Act would fix this by allowing genetic counselors to be recognized and reimbursed under Medicare Part B. Take action today and urge your lawmaker to support this legislation:

Lately, I have been applying tiredlessly for scholarships to help with financial assistance for College. There's no guarantee for any "win" and while in search of these scholarships, I stumbled across this Super Mom competion and thought, why the heck not? 1 vote a day is free. I would most certainly apply the winnings towards higher level educational endvors and finding resourceful ways to help my rare disease community. Any an all votes are greatly appreciated.

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a cornerstone of disability rights in the United States. More than 50 years after its passage, it remains a vital protection against discrimination, yet it is also the subject of renewed public attention and legal debate. In the first installment of a three part series, we look at the history of Section 504 and how it reshaped rights in America.

In honor of National Doctor's Day,

I want to highlight one of many doctors in our lives that make a world of difference in our individualized health care needs and provide a five star review based on personal, life experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dr. Alarcio with Arizona NeuroRecovery Treatment Innovations Center (A.N.T.I.C.).

ANTIC is a doctor's office founded on the premise of providing quality, neurologic care, especially for children, who are largely underserved in the community.

Dr. A and her team take great pride in offering patients comprehensive and integrative services that do not just treat symptoms. Rather, they treat all of you, not just a part of you.

This integrative approach allows for the inclusion of individualized medicine, combining mainstream medical diagnostics and therapeutics with complementary and alternative medicine approaches and therapies, for which there is high-quality scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness.

With use of Integrative Medicine and Homeopathy, our family has been able to heal, thrive, and increase our quality of life. Thank you helping us to make a difference!

Common courtesy is the basic level of politeness and respect that people can usually be expected to show in social interactions. These small acts of consideration, such as saying "please" and "thank you" or holding the door for someone, are crucial for fostering positive relationships, maintaining social cohesion, and creating a respectful environment for everyone. Practicing courtesy reflects an individual's character and contributes to a more harmonious society.

It is important we normalize common courtesy in our day to day lives and interactions with others.

This is good to share, to remind others to adhere to The Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that businesses have a means of effective communication for individuals with disabilities. Explore different options for implementation here: https://adata.org/factsheet/communication
