Welcome to 2026! 🎉 There is something powerful about a fresh calendar and a blank slate. For many young adults, this year represents a turning point—graduation, new careers, or moving into your first apartment. But with new freedom comes new financial responsibility. That’s where we come in. Innovative Start Organization is dedicated to bridging the gap between “I wish I knew” and “I’ve got this.” This year, we are rolling out new tools and resources to help you master your money game. Let’s build your wealth, confidence, and future together.

We had a fantastic time discussing financial advice for a successful career. ISO presented on topics ranging from investments to A.I. use in the workforce. Afterward we reviewed by playing a game of Friendly Feud! ISO is determined to make sure all students, no matter the age group, have the opportunity to learn and expand their financial literacy.

Meet Elena, the Marketing Officer and content creator for ISO! She’s from Warner Robins Georgia and is a Communication Disorders major at UGA. Learning financial literacy is important to her because, “I find it important to emphasize financial literacy as it’s an often overlooked life skill that’s necessary to provide a reliable backbone to the success of any young adult.” We’re glad to have you Ella!

Meet Nicholas Myrell, the marketing officer for ISO! He’s from Warner Robins Georgia, and is a Real Estate major at UGA. ISO is important to him because, “It’s important to teach financial literacy to those that come from underrepresented backgrounds so that they can have access to the knowledge that will help them succeed later on in their career.” We’re glad to have you Nick!

Meet Nate, the assistant treasurer for ISO! He’s from Arlington Virginia, and is an MIS major at UGA. Financial Literacy is important to him because, “It’s essentially the framework for making informed decisions with your money which can lead to achieving long term goals, and help you focus on aspects of your life you find more important than money.” We’re glad to have you Nate!

This week we were able to team again with the City of Tempe Government's Kid Zone Organization. Students from 5th-9th grade participated in our Financial Literacy Stations that helps them build critical thinking skills over a variety of financial topics 🤗

Also, thank you to all the Kid Zone Coordinators and Staff for allowing us to be a part of your Summer Program.

Last Friday we had the opportunity to host our first event in partnership with Kid Zone ( ). At this event, middle school students participated in our Financial Literacy Stations. The students learned how to tackle different financial topics/issues after receiving a random monthly income and expenses. Our goal is to educate and bring awareness about these topics to students through financial literacy, and this is accomplished by the services we offer.

We would like to thank Alex Aragon for connecting us with Sean Baker who aided us with providing this learning event. And we appreciate those who volunteered with us as well!

This semester we had the amazing opportunity to work with the .ila Program, which pairs students with Nonprofit's to help them advance their mission and provide innovative solutions.

A talented group of students partnered with us to streamline business operations and gain marketing insights. Their fresh perspective and research skills helped us identify process improvements and develop targeted marketing strategies, leading to increased efficiency for our org. We're grateful for their valuable contribution! Also, a special thanks to Donald P Addison II, DM, MSM for pairing us with this fantastic group and our treasurer for getting us involved with an impactful program.
