Construction can be chaotic, so how can you best manage safety?
At the Middle Verde Water Reclamation Facility, our crews are working on the top of the coarse screen structure ahead of the next concrete wall placement. What you see is handrail and work platform installation. Guardrails around the full deck perimeter, walkable platforms across the top of the forms, and the layout verified with a tape before anyone calls for concrete.
Concrete placement is loud, fast, and unforgiving. Once the truck is on site and the pour starts, there is no good moment to stop and fix access. So the access gets built first. Handrails, platforms, safe footing, verified dimensions. Then the wall. All while protecting our people with fall protection.
This facility will serve the Yavapai-Apache Nation for decades. The work is dangerous, but we are here to ensure that it is done correctly and, most importantly, safely.
Our West Texas project is taking shape as the team begins building the framework that will define the structure ahead. From coordinating crane movements to carefully positioning each double tee, every lift requires precision, communication, and teamwork.
