Imagine being starving after a long day, rolling up to a McDonald’s in downtown Phoenix, and having an employee look you dead in the eye while you’re in your wheelchair and say "NO" when you ask for help with the door. Then, once I finally get inside? They told me my federally protected service dogs weren't allowed and refused to even give me the manager's name. This isn't 1950. This is Phoenix, Arizona, in 2025.

I took Molly and Toby out for a beautiful day at the park. They were working hard, and I was starving. We rolled up to the McDonald’s on 7th St & McDowell. No accessible button. No way in. An employee stood there, watched me struggle, and refused to help.
When I finally got in, she tried to hide behind a "language barrier." Big mistake. I spoke back in perfect Spanish, and suddenly the story changed. Then came the manager. Instead of an apology, I got told my service dogs—dogs I fought for the rights of in Washington D.C. alongside Top Dog—weren't allowed.
They refused to give me a name. They refused to give me a store number. They just wanted me out.
This isn't just about a burger. It's about the fact that in 2025, a power wheelchair user still can't get through the front door of a billion-dollar corporation without a fight.

I’m beyond excited (and humbled) to share that I’ve been invited to attend WAWABILITY 2025 — a massive, star-studded cultural celebration in Washington, D.C., honoring the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
This event is so much more than a show — it’s a national moment spotlighting the top disabled performers in the world, and I need your help to get there.
🎭 On July 11th, I’ll be attending “Comedy Without Limits,” a groundbreaking showcase featuring Josh Blue, DJ Demers, Kathy Buckley, Adam Keys, and more. It’s all happening at The Anthem — one of the biggest stages in D.C.
🧠 As a disabled comedian myself, my stand-up is all about making people laugh while challenging assumptions. I use comedy to talk about disability, privilege, access, and what it means to exist in a world not built for you — but I do it with style, sarcasm, and a service dog named Toby.
🚀 I’m currently co-producing the Sit-Down Stand-Up Comedy Tour this fall — a traveling showcase of comedians with disabilities, right here in Arizona. WAWABILITY is the perfect chance to network with industry leaders, meet fellow performers, and grow the movement for representation and inclusivity in entertainment.
🛫 I’m looking to raise $2,000 to cover round-trip airfare and caregiver support. I won’t need a hotel or car rental — just help getting there and back. If a volunteer caregiver steps up, that would lower costs significantly. Every little bit helps, and your support means the world.
