This morning the teams packed into AZ Fly Shop, checked the rules, tested their fish submissions, grabbed their measuring mats…and then scattered across the Valley.
Now the clock is running. ⏱️
For the next 24 hours there will be missed shots, broken-off fish, questionable decisions, very little sleep—and somewhere out there is the carp that could win this thing.

The Shop is closed for Labor Day.

There’s been a lot of talk lately about the future of Lees Ferry.
So we decided to go see for ourselves. 🎣
One day on the river doesn’t tell the whole story—but it does tell us this:
Lees Ferry is still producing beautiful trout, and this legendary fishery is absolutely worth fishing, supporting and fighting for.
The canyon is still spectacular. The river is still incredible. And yes… there are still trout to be caught.
We’ll be sharing a lot more from our time at Lees Ferry, including conversations with the people who know this river best.
