There's a moment before we understand what we're feeling, when a sensation shows up in the body first and the mind tries to catch up. Latest blog post that explains how to feel your feelings instead of just thinking them. Noticing the feelings, moving through it, from noticing the sensation to grounding the body to processing it through journaling and art.

Feeling your feelings is an active process, and it looks different every time. If this speaks to you, please know you don't have to move through it alone. Our therapists are here to help you build your own container for what's still stuck.

Meet Sukhmani Khalsa! πŸ‘€πŸ‘‰πŸ½
Therapy doesn't have to feel formal or always about talking about your feelings. Many of Sukhmani's clients are coming straight from work or school, squeezing a session into a busy day, or just trying to figure out how to make therapy fit into their lives.
Sukhmani brings a relaxed, warm, and authentic approach to therapy. He believes there's room to be fully yourself in the therapy room-and he draws from his own life experiences to help make that connection feel real and relatable.
He may help you find practical ways to handle stress, whether that's learning how to take a full breath, slow things down, or mindfully reconnect with yourself when life starts to feel overwhelming.
If you're looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are and help you find practical ways to manage stress, reconnect with yourself, or even navigate the challenges of making and maintaining friendships, Sukhmani would love to connect. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if he's the right fit for you:https://www.brazentherapy.org/sukhmani

Making friends as an adult can be surprisingly hard.

For many men, making and maintaining friendships gets harder in their 30s. Work, relationships, parenting, and life transitions can leave less time and fewer opportunities for connection.

And if you’re realizing you’re lonely, you’re not alone. The good news is friendship is a skill and it can be learned and strengthened.

Sukhmani Khalsa, LMSW, explores men, loneliness, and building meaningful friendships in adulthood in our latest blog.

MEET THE TEAM AT BRAZEN THERAPY

Say hello to Aundrea Austin, LMSW, the creative mind behind our Earth Box grounding tool (check out our therapy tool highlights!)

Aundrea blends eco-therapy, mindfulness, and expressive arts in her work with clients. She believes healing doesn't have to happen only through talking. A lot of her sessions involve the senses, whether that's time outside, working with natural materials, or making something with your hands.

Some of the areas Aundrea focuses on:
🌿 Eco-therapy and nature-based interventions
🎨 Expressive arts as a therapeutic tool
πŸͺ¨ Grounding and sensory regulation
🌱 Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm
🧠 Trauma-informed, holistic care

If talk therapy alone hasn't felt like the right fit, or you want a more hands-on, body-based approach to healing, Aundrea would love to work with you!

Bringing the outside in 🌿

Aundrea Austin, LMSW, blends eco-therapy, expressive arts, and traditional talk therapy to help clients reconnect with themselves. One of her favorite tools is something she made herself called an Earth Box filled with rocks, leaves, and little pieces of earth collected from her travels and mindful walks. Clients, especially neurodivergent folks, love exploring the different textures inside.

Aundrea also brings creativity into session through art-making, whether it's a mixed media collage or a dual self-portrait exploring the parts of ourselves we show the world versus mask.

Swipe through to see some of the tools and artwork Aundrea uses with her clients. πŸƒπŸŽ¨Check out the full blog here: https://www.brazentherapy.org/post/bringing-the-outdoors-in-meet-aundrea-austin-lmsw
