D-DAY - “The Day We Stormed The Gates Of Hell”

In a mix of immense bravery and courage, the Allied soldier stormed the beaches of Normandy despite the odds on June 6th, marking the start of an immense liberation effort of Europe.

We remember the sacrifice of those that didn’t make it home; and those that did through their stories.

Praesidus as a brand was started around the memory of a D-Day 101st Airborne Veteran: Tom Rice. 6 years later, we hope to continue to carry his memory and those of all the others in our watches.

Thank you for your service. 🫡

Something special is brewing for June 6th…

3 Hand Painted version of our iconic A-11 UTAH BEACH collection are releasing alongside our Willys MB A-11.

The first two of the carousel feature a detailed complete bird’s eye view scene of the landings on the D-Day beaches. This alongside the dial’s shape and the sand from the beaches provide an incredible description of both men and equipment braving both nature and fire to secure the beachheads of Europe 82 years ago.

More info on the link in bio…

The packaging for the A-11 LMUV collection - inspired by the typical crates you’d find on the Willys MB back im WW2.

We’ve gone for a full custom print and wood stained crate to really help “vehicle” the incredible history that this collection is directly made from. A beautiful display piece for an incredible watch.

What do you think, should we do more of these kinds if themed packaging?

Launching June 6th - more info in bio.

Meet the A-11 LMUV - a watch we made directly from a WW2 Willys MB hood.

A year ago we sourced an original WW2 Willys MB hood that had clearly lived through quite a few adventures. It had many different layers of paint (with the too one being yellow) and that’s when it clicked for us. We decided we’d try to delicately sandblast & scrap off each layer of pain to hopefully reveal some of the previous ones.

Fast forward to today and we’re proud to say we’ve managed to create some awesome looking dials that feature each a different coat of paint from the recovered hood, all the way down the original green paint!!

However, some areas were too worn out to be saved and that means we’ve also got some heavy wear & tear bare metal dials that’ll be available.

Launching June 6th for D-Day’s 82nd Anniversary - quantities will be extremely limited on some of the dial colors - be sure to sign up for early access in the link im bio.

Couple pre-production shots of our upcoming D-Day 82 Anniversary collection. We’ve always been creative in how we integrate historical material in our watches but this may be our best one yet?

Btw which color do you prefer?

Any ideas on what: “America’s Greatest Contribution To Modern Warfare” could be?

Probably the most iconic vehicle of WW2. Produced in over 600,000 units it was the backbone of the Allies Mobilized Forces: the Willys MB! An indestructible American LMUV (Light Mobility Utility Vehicle) that carried supplies and men in virtually every theater of WW2.

Found in all shapes & uses, we found a few of the more unique ones from the jumping Willys, the train Willys, the « Mad Max » Desert Willys, the Victory Willys, the Eisenhower Willys, the ambulance Willys, and the rocket firing Willys...

Which ones your favorite??
