Idk how many times or ways I could say it but healing is UGLY ASL babes 🫠

But it’s ugly with a purpose …

Avoiding a situation is not the same thing as dealing with the emotion.

Baby, that’s not “doing the work.” That’s running.

And every time we run, we teach ourselves that we’re not strong enough to sit with the weight of what we feel.

The problem is… those emotions don’t disappear. They wait. They show back up as triggers, unhealthy patterns, or reactions that have everybody asking, “Why did I do that?”

Healing isn’t acting tough. It’s having the courage to feel the thing, face the thing, and work through the thing.

Let’s stop surviving our emotions and start dealing with them for real.

Realizing I might need to go back to therapy because surviving something and healing from it are two different things.

I disassociated through a lot of seasons of my life and packed some things away so deep I thought they were gone.

Baby… they were just quiet.

Healed doesn’t mean cured. Healing is continuous, and it works a whole lot better when you stop treating the symptoms and get to the root.
