⭐️⚡ SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY ⚡️⭐️
There’s no better compliment than when a customer chooses to call us again. 💜
We first had the opportunity to work with John in 2024, completing several electrical upgrades around his home, including exterior GFI receptacles and electrical work for his outdoor patio area.
Fast-forward to 2026, and John called Azgard Electric again—this time to install a new dedicated 20-amp circuit for his garage refrigerator and freezer. ⚡️
After the project, John left us this incredible review:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Johnny and his team are great. Efficient, on time, do everything as promised, honest. I would never use any other electrician. highly recommend!”
John, thank you for trusting our family business not just once, but again nearly two years later. Repeat customers mean the world to us, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. 💜⚡️

🔧⚡ FIX-IT FRIDAY ⚡🔧
This week’s fix started with a master bedroom that had completely lost power and a breaker that would trip immediately every time it was energized.
Rather than simply replacing the breaker, we worked through the circuit step by step:
• Removed switches and receptacles for testing
• Performed continuity testing and isolated sections of the circuit
• Inspected accessible attic wiring for damage
• Reconnected devices systematically to narrow down the fault
• Traced the direct short to concealed wiring between two receptacles
The breaker wasn’t the problem — it was doing exactly what it was designed to do by shutting the circuit down when it detected a fault.
⚠️ Homeowner takeaway: If a breaker trips immediately after being reset, don’t keep forcing it back on. A direct short or damaged wiring may be hiding somewhere in the circuit and should be properly diagnosed.
Another electrical mystery tracked down and corrected. ⚡

Well… this is what we walked into today. 😅⚡️
Sometimes troubleshooting starts with figuring out what went where, who did what, and what’s actually still being used.
Our team is getting it sorted out, identifying the wiring, and making sure everything is left safe, organized, and properly connected.
Stay tuned for the after 👀

⚡ ELECTRICAL TIP TUESDAY ⚡
Is it normal for an outlet or switch to feel warm?
Usually not. A noticeably warm outlet or switch can be a sign of a loose connection, overloaded circuit, worn device, or overheating/arcing behind the wall.
If an outlet, switch, or plug feels hot, smells burnt, starts buzzing, or shows discoloration, stop using it and have it checked before the issue gets worse.
A small warning sign can sometimes point to a much bigger electrical problem.

⭐ SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY | PANEL TRANSFORMATION ⭐
This week’s spotlight takes us back to an older electrical panel that had been in service since 1973.
Over the years, the wiring inside had become crowded and disorganized. Our team cleaned up and reorganized the panel, corrected the wiring, and installed new circuit breakers to leave the electrical system cleaner, safer, and more reliable.
The before-and-after tells the story pretty well. ⚡
And we’re grateful for another 5-star review:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“I have a circuit breaker box dating back to 1973. Today Jonny came out and fixed the ‘rats nest’ that it was. I now have new wiring and circuit breakers. Jonny is professional, honest, and a fantastic technician.”
Thank you, Heidi, for trusting Azgard Electric with your home and for taking the time to share your experience. 💜

🔧 FIX-IT FRIDAY | COMMERCIAL PROJECT ⚡
This week’s Fix-It Friday takes us to Hilton Garden Inn – Room 229, where we were called in to troubleshoot a bathroom recessed light that had completely lost power.
After tracing the circuit, we determined the original power source could no longer be located or accessed from the existing switch or nearby lighting. With no ceiling access available, getting to the wiring required a more involved repair.
Our team:
⚡ Created safe access into the ceiling and installed a new 18” × 18” access panel
⚡ Traced and evaluated the existing bathroom lighting circuit
⚡ Ran a new electrical feed from the functioning bathroom light to the recessed light above the toilet
⚡ Restored power to the fixture
⚡ Metered and tested the circuit to verify safe and proper voltage
⚡ Finished the repair with a clean, accessible solution for future service
Commercial electrical troubleshooting isn’t always as simple as replacing a fixture. Sometimes the real job is figuring out where the power disappeared — and finding the safest, cleanest way to restore it.
Azgard Electric provides residential and commercial troubleshooting, repairs, lighting, installations, and electrical solutions throughout the Phoenix Valley.

⚡ ELECTRICAL TIP TUESDAY ⚡
Arizona’s heat and UV exposure don’t just take a toll on us — they can also be hard on outdoor electrical equipment.
Over time, prolonged sun, extreme temperatures, dust, and monsoon weather can contribute to wear on outdoor lighting components, including:
• Fixture seals and gaskets
• Wiring and insulation
• Plastic lenses and housings
• Photocells and sensors
• LED drivers and other internal components
A fixture may still be working while some of those components are already beginning to deteriorate.
A few things to watch for:
⚠️ Flickering or dim lights
⚠️ Yellowing or damaged lenses
⚠️ Corrosion or exposed wiring
⚠️ Frequent outages or inconsistent operation
Routine inspections of parking lot lights, wall packs, building lighting, and exterior electrical connections can help catch problems before they turn into bigger failures.

⭐ SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY ⭐
This week’s spotlight is a recent troubleshooting call for a homeowner who had lost power to the garage, front patio, and guest bathroom receptacles.
After tracing the circuit, we located a tripped GFCI at the master bathroom vanity that was feeding the affected outlets. The GFCI was reset and tested, but because of the age and condition of the existing device, it was replaced as preventative maintenance.
Once the repair was complete, power was restored and all affected receptacles were metered and tested to verify proper operation.
And we were grateful to receive another 5-star review afterward:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Jonny did an excellent job at a great price. Highly recommended!”
Thank you, James, for trusting Azgard Electric with your home and for taking the time to leave us a review. 💜

🔧 FIX-IT FRIDAY | LIGHTING TROUBLESHOOTING ⚡
Sometimes the fix is simpler than it first appears.
This service call started with multiple can lights not working, along with a bathroom light and exhaust fan that were also out.
After troubleshooting the circuits and devices, we found that the bathroom issue was being caused by a failed smart switch. The smart switch was removed and replaced with a standard switch, restoring proper operation to both the bathroom light and exhaust fan.
The remaining can lights were tested and determined to be operational — they simply needed new bulbs.
A little troubleshooting can go a long way and can sometimes save a homeowner from replacing fixtures or equipment that are still perfectly usable.
