An Arizona based hedgehog rescue! Please message us for more information on adoption and surrenders!

***Thank you for your interest in sweet little Ozzy! We recorded several applications and will be going through them shortly. If you are interested, please submit! We will be making a decision after June 10th :)

Even though our rescue is taking a short paws, we will be looking for the perfect home for little Ozzy! He will be available for adoption beginning June 10th.

Ozzy was surrendered to us due to the tiny human in the family developing an allergy to him. His mom brought him all the way from New Mexico! That’s how loved he was 🥰

Ozzy will huff a bit at first as all hedgies do but he does calm down. He is still very young (estimating under 6 months) so he is FAST when he’s on the move. He does great with nail trims which is a huge plus!

If you are interested in adopting sweet Ozzy, please fill out an adoption application on our website and then message our page giving us a heads up. Our email notifications aren’t always great so messaging the page ensures that we see you!

💛HUFF N' PUFF HEDGEHOG RESCUE WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER💛

Our staff has some surgeries and other life stuff happening over the next couple of months, and we unfortunately will not have the time to give our fosters the attention they need 🤍

If we have not already coordinated a surrender with you, we will be CLOSED for any intakes until we post an update that we are back open & ready!

If you need assistance with rehoming, we can do a courtesy post to our page when we have a moment but we suggest posting your hedgehog to our ARIZONA HEDGEHOG OWNERS - RESCUE & REHOMING group here on FB! We have a lot of members who are actively looking to adopt 🥰

Look how handsome Ozzy is!!

He was being super wiggly but as soon as I asked him to cooperate, he struck a pose…literally 😂

He’s almost ready for his quillever home 🥰

Hi everyone! Some of you may know that one of our rescue owners is a now retired USDA Licensed & Pedigreed Breeder! Mariah here!

I offer lifetime support for all of my past babies, and one of my 2022 babies, Hannibal now known as Burrito was just surrendered today due to family life changes 🤍

His DOB is 05/13/2022 so he is about 4 years old! He looks so good for his age and was a sweet boy upon surrender and let me snap some cute pics of him 🥰

He will be with the rescue for a min of 2 weeks to ensure all health & habits are good! Once he is officially available for adoption, we will post along with more information on adoption fee & supplies included!

We currently have another male who is looking for his home, Simba! If you would like to message our page for more info 🤍

*SEE COMMENTS BELOW FOR BABY PICS OF LITTLE BURRITO!*

Simba is a handsome boy who is looking for his quillever home 🩵

Simba is a 2 year old male who was surrendered to us last month, after giving his skin some much needed TLC he is ready for his new home! He can be a bit spicy at times, but is a great boy for baths & nail trims 🥰

His adoption fee is only 5️⃣0️⃣
He does not come with any supplies, so proof of enclosure is required before he can go to his new home!

If you are interested in Simba, please send our page a message once you've completed an adoption application from our website!

Adoptions are on a first come first serve basis once approved, pick up for adoption day will be in Peoria, AZ! 🩵

*For the safety of our rescue partners and rescue hedgies, we do not allow meet & greets, but are more than happy to send photos and videos of a hedgehogs temperament!*

Hey everyone it’s been a hot minute since we’ve posted! We are still open and able to take in surrenders 🩵

Rescue has been a bit slower than previous years which is good! Because our team has been pretty busy with life as well.

But we are still able to take in a few fosters as needed. We currently only have 2 rescue stations at this time; one in Peoria, AZ and one in Surprise, AZ!

We are a west valley based rescue but can take in any hedgehog as long as you drop off at one of our rescue locations!

On the rare occasion we can sometimes meet on the east side, but only if we happen to have prior commitments out that way 🩵

We still at this time require the $50 surrender fee, this helps pay for any supplies or possible medical care your hedgie needs while at our rescue!

If you need to surrender please message our page and submit a form to our website, we are slow to respond to our email as it sometimes doesn’t notify us!

Picture of our most recent surrender, Simba, for attention! he is a 2 year old male who is currently being evaluated/quarantined before becoming available for adoption 🩵

Thank you for supporting our rescue! We wanted to give a little update on how things are going, when Simba is available for adoption we will make another post with all his info!

Please excuse how atrocious my garage looks! Currently deep cleaning the house and throwing a ton of stuff away!

We have a TON of supplies that are unfortunately not safe for the hedgies to use that were donated when hedgies were surrendered.

If anyone happens to know of any small animal rescues that could use any of the supplies let me know!

The purple kaytee wheel, Midwest habitat cage, and some of the hides are the only things possibly usable for hedgies that we could sell if interested!

Any proceeds would go to the rescue, but we’d love to help out another rescue if possible!!

Barred cages are just too small and unsafe for hedgies due to climbing, and the exotic nutrition wheels are a nail ripping hazard, and the large white cage is best suited for a hamster due to lack of airflow hedgies need to prevent URI’s

The black metal unit cage is unfortunately way too small compared to the critter nations!

First intake of 2026 🤍

Meet Sage! She is a 3 year old female 🫶🏻 she is a bit underweight and has some dry skin. She will be with us for a bit until she’s looking better 🤍

We got this adorable photo from Tonks’ new home 🤍 this is why we do what we do!

We are so thankful for our amazing adopters who take in our beloved rescues and give them the best lives possible!

Also wishing everyone a happy holidays! We may be slower to respond during this time as we are finishing up last minute shopping and spending time with family!

At the moment our rescue does not have any available rescues, we may see an influx of intakes after the new year, but no adoptable hedgies at this time 🫶🏻🤍
