The farther you get away from everyday life, the easier it is to stop thinking about what's next and just enjoy where you are.

A Toyota can take you just about anywhere… but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a backup plan.
You never know when a vehicle might break down, get stuck, or just decide it’s having a bad day.
Before you head out, make sure you:
1. Bring plenty of water. 1 gallon per person per day
2. Have a way to communicate, like a satellite
communicator. I use ZOLEOlife USA
3. Tell someone where you’re going, always
4. And keep a reliable recovery company’s number handy
like Wild West Recovery
Being prepared isn’t about expecting something to go wrong. It’s about knowing what to do if it does.
Public lands belong to all of us. So let’s get out and enjoy them.
For National Public Lands Day, we’re teaming up with AZ 4Runner Outsiders , ADV Designs | Offroad Parts ,AZ TunePro , and onX Offroad | Off-Roading Navigation App for a day on the trails in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness.
We’re putting together 3 different trail runs:
Beginner - Aztec Peak
Intermediate - NDR 488
Advanced - Angel Wings 35s minimum & no full size
Different trails. Different skill levels. Same goal, get outside, meet good people, and enjoy the places that make Arizona special.

We spend so much time adding gear to our rigs that it's easy to forget how quickly the weight adds up.

BLACK BEAR PASS — SILVERTON TO TELLURIDE
Black Bear Pass is one of those trails where the scenery can make you forget just how serious the trail actually is.
Carl, his son Carl, and Chris take the full-size wrecker from Silverton toward Telluride, with a recently upgraded Jeep and our friends at CB Off-Road Adventure bringing their 4Runner along for the ride.
The weather starts moving in, the trail gets narrower, the exposure gets bigger… and then we reach The Steps.
Steep, loose, rocky and unforgiving — with a full-size wrecker making the descent.
And just when you think the trail can't get any more spectacular, Bridal Veil Falls comes into view.

Someone asked me recently if off-roading is just driving on dirt....
I told them no, it's the places the dirt takes you and the way it makes you feel when you're out there. Adventurous, epic, calming, exciting, wonder, closeness to the outdoors.
The dirt is just the beginning of the journey.
