~Side By Side Saturday~

What a difference between baby Guinness and 3 year old Guinness!
This licking mat is an enrichment activity that we started early on.
We mainly use it with peanut butter since Guinness loves it.
We only use all natural peanut butter with no xylitol in it,
I have also made peanut butter from scratch for him.
Has anyone else used the lick mats?
What do you put on it?

~The Pawsitivity of Dogs~

If we all had the pawsitive outlook that dogs do, the world would be a much better place.
Pawsitivity of Dogs:
🐾Instead of complaining that you were away, they celebrate the fact that you’re back….they are always happy to see you, every time.
🐾They don’t need time away from you, in fact, they can’t get enough of you.
🐾You don’t have to pretend with them, they love you for exactly who you are.
🐾You can mess up over and over again, and they will always forgive you.
🐾They can sense when you’re sad and will come always try to comfort you.
🐾 They don’t care what you’re wearing or what your hair looks like.
They’ll go anywhere with you no matter what you look like.

~Freeze Frame Friday~

You don’t realize everything you miss until you slow it down, pause and freeze a moment in time.
For instance, these freeze frame pictures of Guinness. You don’t see the funny faces he makes and are able to enjoy them, when it’s happening in real time.
So today…..slow down…..pause….take the time to notice the things around you that you may be missing out on by going full tilt.

~Throw Back Thursday-Camping Edition~

To cold weather camping in the past where I got Guinness this hat to keep his ears warm, it also looks so cute on him!
This picture was taken in the same camping spot we were just in this weekend.
He loves to be in his camping chair, especially if there is a fire involved, being around all his people.
He is the official “camp dog” and thinks all our friend’s kids are his kids.
The camping trip we just got back from in Prescott this last weekend, we went without all our usual camping crew. We stay in the same spot every time and the spot across from us, where our friends who have kids usually stay was occupied by a different family with kids.
He wanted to go play with them and I kept telling him, “those aren’t your kids”.
He didn’t understand and I felt so bad.🥹
