Makes sense to me 😂😂

You know that trip you keep saying you’ll take with your friends someday? Maybe “someday” should be now.

There’s something so special about travelling with people you already love. You get to experience a new place together, laugh until your stomach hurts, get slightly lost, try things you wouldn’t normally try, discover your new favourite restaurant, and come home with stories that only the people who were there will understand.

And honestly, I think there’s a season for travelling with friends that we sometimes underestimate.

Before everyone’s calendars get even fuller.
Before work becomes even more demanding.
Before kids, commitments and life make it harder to find a week when everyone is free.

If you have the time, the people and the opportunity to go somewhere together — take it.

It doesn’t have to be the biggest or most extravagant trip. It could be a long weekend, a road trip, a river cruise, a few days somewhere new, or that bucket-list journey you’ve all been talking about for years.

Because the real luxury isn’t just the destination.

It’s having the time to experience it together.

And there’s another beautiful thing about travelling with friends: you get to see each other in a completely different setting. Away from the usual routines, responsibilities and everyday life. You make space for conversations you might not otherwise have, celebrate little moments together and create memories that keep coming up long after you’ve returned home.

Okay, cruise friends… let’s talk about FOOD. 🍽️😂

Because as much as I love a beautiful itinerary, stunning destinations and a gorgeous ship, I have to admit… the food matters. A LOT.

When I’m considering a cruise, I want to know more than just where the ship is going. I want to know what breakfast looks like, whether there’s enough variety, what the specialty restaurants are like, how the service feels and, most importantly… am I going to be excited about dinner on day 7?

Because some of my favourite travel memories have nothing to do with the destination — they’re the long lunches, sunset dinners, great conversations and that dessert you definitely didn’t need but ordered anyway. 😉

So now I want to know…

1.Give me fine dining every night.
2.I’m happy as long as it’s good!

And oh my goodness… there is so much I could say about this journey. I’ll dive deeper into the stories, the places and the moments as time goes by, but for now, I just want to say this:

Every bit of it was worth it.

The adventure. The unexpected moments. The incredible landscapes. The laughter. The people we met along the way. And those little moments that make you stop and see the world and yourself a little differently.

Africa is beautiful, but it’s so much more than beautiful. The people have a way of making you feel at home, and the land has a way of making you feel like you belong.

I came away with a different perspective than I expected, and I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about travel.

Sometimes we travel for the adventure.
Sometimes for the stories.
Sometimes simply to experience somewhere new.

And sometimes, a journey changes you. ✨

Kenya, you were all of that and more. ❤️
