We kept the appreciation going with **Taco Tuesday**, generously provided by RWC! 🌮🙌

We’re so thankful our drivers were able to stop in, grab a bite, and take a little time to enjoy the celebration. Our drivers work hard every day, and it means so much to us to be able to show them how much they’re appreciated!

Today kicked off our week-long celebration of the incredible drivers who keep Updike moving! 💙

We’re showing our appreciation all week long with daily lunches, giveaways, and plenty of fun! 🍔🌭🍗

And that’s not all! 🏆 Drivers who participate in the Driver Rodeo will also get a chance to spin the wheel for some exciting prizes! 🎡🎁

National Brake Safety Week!! Here are some tips provided by the CVSA. see more at www.operationairbrake.org
1. Inspect visible portions of the drum or rotor as part of your
pre- and post-trip inspections.
2. Look for signs of cracked or broken pieces in the friction
surface of the rotor.
3. Look for cracks that run through to the outer portion of the
drum or missing pieces, where visible.
4. On disc brakes, pay attention to the condition of the rotor.
Heavily rusted rotors across the entire friction surface indicate an
inoperative brake.
5. If the rotor is grooved, indicating metal-to-metal contact,
that means the brake pads are worn and the shoe is making
contact with the rotor.
6. Ensure the rotor is not worn to the extent that the center vents
are exposed.
7. Make sure all repairs are consistent with the brake
manufacturer's requirements and guidelines.
8. Note any issues in your driver vehicle inspection reports and
report them to the motor carrier.

Last week, was week 3 of our June Safety Awareness Month focusing on Avoiding Sprains & Strains. A reminder that even a few minutes of preparation can make a big difference.

Across our warehouse locations, teams started their day by coming together for 5–10 minutes of group stretching to help reduce the risk of injury and prepare for the work ahead.

Safety isn't just about following procedures ... it's about building habits that protect our people every day. A big thank you to everyone who participated and continues to make safety a priority!

As part of our June Safety Awareness Month activities last week our team participated in a Driver Safety Slogan Contest focused on promoting safe driving habits and roadway awareness.
