Stinkweeds, locally owned and operated has been providing the valley with the best independent and underground music for the past 33 years. We're tucked away in the charming Medlock Plaza, sharing our space with other great shops, such as Halo Piercing, Az Hi-Fi, and Frances Vintage. The LPs and CDs we sell are considered to be "hand picked", weeding out all the stuff that might just get in the way of finding your new favorite album. Our friendly staff is always willing to help you find what you are looking for, even if you're not sure what you're looking for.

Look - tap payments are great; they make things VERY convenient and fast at the register. We even find ourselves using it sometimes! But tap to pay has taken over as the dominant payment by a LOT these days and having no cash come in through the doors is harmful to small business. We are forced to pay processing fees on 99% of our sales, and the lack of cash is especially challenging in our industry - we pay for cash for records after all!
When you spend cash in a local business, your money stays in the community; it pays our wonderful staff, funds local music, stays in local credit unions. The point is, it STAYS here! Every time we tap, money is slowly trickling out of our community and into the hands of the mega-corps.
We aren’t saying to never use the convenient method; just maybe consider carrying some cash next time you pop in your fave small biz ❤️
