Throwing it back to Meet the Teacher Night last week when we welcomed our new Jags and welcomed our returning Jags back to campus! 📚✨ It was so much fun seeing students meet their teachers, explore their classrooms, and get ready for a brand-new school year. 🏫🎉

And now… we’ve already almost made it through our first week of school! 🙌 We’ve had such a wonderful start and are so excited for all the learning, growth, friendships, and JJ Magic ahead! ✨🐆

Tomorrow is the big day! 🌟🍎

We are so excited to see all of our students back for the first day of school tomorrow, Aug. 10! Let's make it another great school year, ! 💙❤

Our fabulous Parent Teacher Organization will hosting a Boo-hoo Breakfast Monday, August 10 from 7:10am-7:45am in the cafeteria. They will be serving light refreshments and coffee. Stop by and meet our board, staff and other parents after dropping your student off in their classroom. This will be for parents only due to the new Arizona Healthy Schools Act policies that were put into effect for the 26/27 school year.

It’s almost time to get ready for another amazing year at John Jacobs Elementary! 🎉

Our school supply lists are optional, and we are so grateful for every donation our families are able to provide. ❤️ These supplies help our teachers stock classrooms and make materials last throughout the entire school year for all of our Jags.

🎒 Supplies may be brought to Meet the Teacher Night or on the first day of school—whatever works best for your family!

🏷️ One important reminder: Please label your child’s backpack and water bottle with their name. Arizona temperatures are still HOT ☀️, and our refillable water bottle stations help keep our Jags hydrated all day long! 💧

Enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year for our FREE Head Start preschool program, designed to help young learners build the skills and confidence they need for kindergarten and beyond.

Available at 14 WESD schools, this multicultural early childhood program is open to qualifying families with children who will be 4 years old by December 31, 2026.
