I am very happy to announce I AM HOME!!!!
And I owe it to some amazing people, that I cannot begin to thank enough! The Mayo hospital staff, namely my group of wonderful ladies and gentleman of the 7th floor east pod and I say that solely because they became my lifeline for quite some time, twice. A couple of you I will never forget. The comfort and care you showed me is beyond appreciated.

Then, I am having a difficult time thinking of how you begin to show your thanks, to someone that educates themselves to their utmost potential as doctors and nurses of medicine, when, literally, they save your life daily. Period.

My emotions become overwhelmed, when I think of the lengthy time I've spent in a medical facility. Please know that I will always be a supporter of our doctors, nurses, and all of the medical support staff that it takes to keep Americans alive and well, regardless of how the politicians and policymakers ruin our system for personal gains. The purpose of the healthcare system is to provide, just that, another day on this beautiful planet, thankful to be able to be amongst our family, our friends, our neighbors and fellow Americans, safe and free.

This last year has taught me so so much about what should be important. Things that hurt, your family, your friends, your neighbors and fellow Americans, whether, by weapons or words, should not be put above kindness and tolerance. We all would do well with a bit more patience and open-mindedness.

This has been something that became my all and everything for months, and I'm lucky it was limited to that. There are people everyday around you living with, and possibly suffering, just to be able to blend in with the people around them.

We cant begin to know about the highly mortifying experiences people suffer in silence with. In what an average citizen of a fairly healthy body assumes, the person next to them might only be able to dream of... walking and seeing being two gigantic examples. We take for granted, these sloped sidewalks, bumps on our atms, and larger bathroom stalls and parking spaces. I belive the ADA was created for the betterment of life to many many people, that even 100 years ago, would be dead or lying on the wayside to fend for themselves. Considered lepers of society, just because their body didn't work in the same way everyone else's did.

And that my dear friends and clients is the end of my diatribe. I am thankful to be able to share my life experiences and my opinion, on the public broadcast system known as FB. Which i will thank as well. It's a lifeline when you haven't the ability to physically interact with society.

Peace and tolerance.

Just a word of what's happening. Monday the 22nd of Feb, at an insanely early hour, i will enter, what i hope, will be the last stage of this long and cumbersome experience. I am getting a colon reattachment procedure to get rid of the illeostomy that Ive been living with for about 6 months. Im extremely lucky, of that I'm sure, I'm in good health after what i went through and they can proceed with the surgery with little worry. Im going to tag myself, so clients, family and friends, can hear what's going on, if you see repeat post, i apologize. With that, See you on the other side.

Hello, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving weekend. I'm sending out another notice that some of my appointments that were booked, Wed - Fri, have gotten deleted. Please contact me, on my phone, to confirm your appointment is good and I'll be in town. Those of you with appts on Saturday-Tuesday, and have recently communicated with me, are fine. You can confirm if you are concerned. Anyway. Happy day to everyone!

My frightful Saturday night. I tell you, I'm not kidding. It is very scary being bound to a wheelchair in a crowd over 10k people with subpar to none of the facilities that someone might need. Madonna, at the Gila river/Jobbing arena, was such an amazing experience, I respect the ADA so much now! People with disabilities don't have to feel inadequate or embarrassed and they truly can feel comfortable attending and welcome. The arena staff was amazing to me and so beyond helpful.
