A music supporter and photographer most found in the Phoenix area at a show. I cover Punk, Ska, Rockabilly, Alternative, Indie Rock, Folk, and more.

Dealing with long Covid that has left me with chronic fatigue and brain fog since July 2022. Just a regular concert goer like you. I love watching music. It is a amazing place of creativity and free speech. It is where I relax. I have fun, whether jumping into a mosh pit or taking pics of the action on the stage. Top of my favorite genres sit Punk and Ska, but I love a lot of music outside of those genres. My pronouns are He/Him.

Oh, four weeks now means I got this back on track. You should definitely give Snailmate the biggest sendoff humanly possible. I know if my chronic fatigue behaves that day, I’m going to try. Otherwise, hit up any of these shows and show these bands some support. You may even discover a new band you like!

Aww, though I wish Bob the best and thank him for all the memories his venue hosted. You got until May to catch a show at this Phoenix staple.

Important announcement! After 35 plus fantastic years of running the Rhythm Room, I have decided to retire the club and enter into the next chapter of my life. The plan is close the Rhythm Room on May 30, 2027 and to have a glorious final season this fall, winter, and spring! We will have numerous amazing shows and we hope that you will celebrate the legendary legacy of this Phoenix music institution in our last run. As for my own plans, I plan to continue to play music, keep my great band working, keep recording and releasing music, promote music events, and of course continue my Blues Radio Show.

In reflection, the Rhythm Room has enabled decades of wonderful music and meaningful community gatherings. We look back at all the amazing concerts, shows, and events that we have presented over these last 3 1/2 decades. And I have experienced no better feeling than getting on that stage with my favorite musicians to play my heart out to a room filled with dear friends. And gathering great musicians has led to some great recording sessions, which in turn have created album releases that have had worldwide impact and recognition! We are very proud of the amazing list of renowned talent that has blessed our stage!
Myself and other bookers and promoters have presented a wide array of great music talent of many genres, but with Blues always as our centerpiece. The musicians that have played at the RR have become beloved family to us. And we have been blessed with an amazing staff who believe in the Rhythm Room’s cause. I must mention current RR manager Lynsey Curtis who has been a part of the Rhythm Room for over 20 years and who represents with charm and kindness. And thank you to the great artists, promoters and booking agents who are crucial in this endeavor. And we are especially thankful for the fantastic audiences that have come to gather to enjoy music, friendship, and camaraderie.

To say that I’m going to miss all of this would be a huge understatement. But this year I will celebrate my 70th birthday, and I’m going to give myself permission to live life with a more measured, less hectic pace. I look back at the many amazing achievements of the Rhythm Room and all of the people that it’s touched and I have nothing but gratitude. Thank you to the Phoenix music community for allowing me the honor of serving you. And even though this is a big change, I assure you that I still have much more to give. We hope that you will join myself, Lynsey and the great Rhythm Room staff in celebration of our final season from August 27, 2026 to May 30, 2027
With love, Bob Corritore.

Look at this! Two weeks in a row of concert suggestions for the next week around Phoenix and beyond. This is certainly easier on my chronic fatigue over recording videos, so I'm more optimistic this may be able to be kept up from here. A reminder, this is catered to my tastes, which does include removing mention of anti science artists I'm aware of. Anyways, go check out some awesome live music!

Punk world lost a great one... RIP

We are devastated to announce the death of our partner, sister, daughter, and friend Jennifer Precious Finch. Jennifer’s impact on the world of music was seismic; her impact on our lives, even moreso. We appreciate everyone’s interest and concern, thank you for all the kind messages. We appreciate some space to heal privately during this difficult time.

I may have got my second favorite america’s local band cheekface lyric, only to "I have watched every episode of PBS NewsHour and I'm going on vacation," on my forearm today by Cage Free Tattoos! 👀 First lyric tattoo for me.
