For ten months, 1.8 million Arizonans on AHCCCS couldn’t use their insurance for a cancer screening or an STI test at Planned Parenthood because of the MAGA GOP in Congress. 

Thankfully, that ban has now lapsed. I met with Planned Parenthood Arizona’s April Donovan to discuss their work and how to protect access to lifesaving care.

63 years ago today, over a quarter million people marched on Washington to demand equal rights for Black Americans. Within two years, Congress passed the Civil Rights Act & the Voting Rights Act.

Nothing about that was inevitable. We must keep fighting to live up to the promise of equal rights for every American.

A federal judge struck down this fee already. Rather than work with Congress to modernize our visa program, the administration ignored them & rewrote the plan instead.

A six-figure fee will make it harder to bring the world's best engineers to the U.S. and will push them closer to our competitors. It's a self-defeating policy through and through.
