We're hiring Heavy Equipment Technicians in Phoenix, AZ. 🔧
This isn't a shop job. At Smiley Lifting Solutions, our technicians move, install, and relocate heavy industrial machinery: CNC machines, presses, generators, and full production lines.
The work is hands-on and every job is a new puzzle:
🧩 Raising machines with hydraulic jacks and cribbing
🧩 Shifting heavy loads into tight spaces with jack and slide systems
🧩 Rolling equipment on skates through doorways and down aisles
🧩 Rigging, setting, and leveling with gantries, forklifts, and cranes
You'd be a great fit if you have a background as a mechanic, diesel tech, millwright, maintenance tech, or in a military motor pool.
We provide paid training on jacks, slides, skates, rigging, and signaling, plus a path toward crane operation and certification.
If you understand how machines work, we'll teach you how to move them.

Smiley Crane Service Elevates HVAC Chiller to New Heights at 3300 Tower in Phoenix, AZ
In a remarkable display of precision and engineering prowess, Team Smiley Crane recently accomplished a challenging lift operation at the renowned 3300 Tower in Uptown Phoenix, Arizona. The primary objective of this undertaking was the strategic installation of an advanced HVAC chiller.
Gracefully standing tall along Central Avenue, the 3300 Tower is a 27-story architectural marvel, reaching an impressive height of 356 feet. The incorporation of the HVAC chiller serves to further enhance the building’s infrastructure, ensuring optimal climate control for its occupants.
Taking center stage in the 3300 Tower project was the Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 All Terrain Crane, shining as the star with a remarkable 400-ton capacity. Notably, the 1400 claims the position of the second-largest crane in Smiley’s extensive fleet. New to Team Smiley in January 2024, is the colossal Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1, a massive presence equipped with both long and short boom options. Currently holding the title of Arizona’s largest All Terrain Crane, it stands as one of only five Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 units in the United States configured with both booms, marking a significant milestone in Smiley Crane’s capabilities.
