Congratulations to our Visual Arts Department Head, Ms. Stephanie Carrico, on being selected as a winner of APS’s Supply My Classroom Sweepstakes!

Ms. Steph received $500 to put toward classroom supplies for her Photography and 2D/3D Design classes. We’re so excited to see how these resources support our students’ creativity!

A big thank you to Christina Price with APS for stopping by to share the news!

Congratulations to the cast & crew of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S LAND OF THE DEAD by John Heimbuch, directed by Mr. Brian Maticic, head of our theatre department. This stellar and spooky production detailed the "accurate" and "true" events of the 1599 zombie apocalypse at The Globe Playhouse. We couldn't be more proud of the collaboration, energy, and creativity they brought to Metro's stage -- congrats!!!

🧟‍♂️ Our Fall Theatre Production, William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead by John Heimbuch, brings Shakespeare, zombies, sword fights, and plenty of theatrical chaos to the stage!

Tomorrow is Metro Connect! 🎨✨

Our annual chance to welcome everyone back -- and welcome our newest Metro Arts students to the family!

We’ll ask the fun get-to-know-you questions, but we’ll go deeper, too: What inspires you? What are you working toward? What do you want to create? What artistic risks do you want to take?

Here’s to a new year of connection, creativity, and taking chances. 💙🎭🎨🎬

The Gardening and Literature class transformed our downstairs garden space into a pollinator-friendly meditation garden. While learning desert gardening principles and reading texts such as The Secret Garden, students designed their dreamy garden filled with lantana, pomegranates, rosemary, vines, and more. They recently threw a garden party and taught their peers about building and caring for a garden. We are so proud of their hard work and thankful for their gift to the school!

🎓🎨 Thank you, Class of 2026, for the beautiful piece you've created for the visual arts wing of our school!
