One Step Secure I.T.
Providing Secure IT in an Unsecure World
Flying cars always sounded like a far-off future thing. Maybe not for much longer.
This video highlights a company working to make flying cars a real possibility.
And honestly, that is the kind of tech story that grabs attention fast.
First it sounds impossible.
Then it sounds ambitious.
Then suddenly it is in the real world.

Everyone talks about how useful AI is.
Fewer people talk about what happens if it grows faster than our ability to manage it.
This video raises an important point:
AI can be exciting, helpful, and productive while still carrying real risks for the future.
Both things can be true.
The question is not just,
“Can AI help us work faster?”
It is also,
“Are we using it wisely?”
“Are we protecting data?”
“Are we thinking about the long-term impact?”

A cyber incident does not need to become a full data breach to create major problems.
Springfield Public Schools closed again after a cyber incident took systems offlinesignificantly impacted school operations. Officials said sensitive data was not compromised, but the disruption still impacted school operations in a big way.
Do not just plan for prevention. Plan for interruption.
Ask yourself:
· If your systems went down tomorrow, how would your team communicate?
· Could you still operate for a day?
· Do you have a backup plan that does not rely on the same network?
Cyber resilience is not just about stopping attacks.
It is about staying functional when things go sideways.

The FBI just released its first unclassified cyber strategy, and it gives a clearer look at how the bureau plans to approach today’s growing cyber threats.
The strategy focuses on:
· going after cyber adversaries
· helping victims faster
· building stronger partnerships
· improving cyber capabilities inside the FBI
The FBI wants closer coordination with private industry, not just after an incident, but as an ongoing part of cyber defense.
Cybersecurity keeps becoming more connected across government, business, and critical infrastructure.

AI is getting so smart that even OpenAI is waving the caution flag.
One of its unreleased models has reportedly crossed a major cybersecurity capability threshold.
That means AI is not just helping people work faster.
It is also raising the stakes for security.
Translation for businesses:
You can absolutely get excited about AI.
Just do not bring it into your business without thinking about risk, data protection, and security too.
The future is exciting.
It is also not something you want to wing.

Okay… this one is a little crazy.
Researchers were able to list the UK prime minister’s residence on https://hubs.ly/Q04xj1BH0, and people actually tried to book it.
That alone should tell you how easy it is for fake listings to look real online.
The funny part gets your attention.
The serious part is the risk.
Fake listings can lead to phishing links, stolen payment info, and people handing over personal data without realizing it.
Good reminder for everyone:
Before you click, book, or pay, take an extra second to verify what you are looking at.

Think the biggest cyber threat to your business is outside the building?
Not always.
Sometimes the biggest risk is sitting just a few feet away.
This blog covers how human error, old access, unreported incidents, and personal devices can open the door to real security problems.
The good news is that you can improve these issues with the right training and policies.

Not every request for your ID is harmless.
A new article reports that 153 million driver’s licenses and millions of other IDs are being sold on a dark web platform.
That matters because a stolen ID can do a lot more damage than a stolen password.
A password can be reset.
Your license number, address, and date of birth are a lot harder to change.
Quick tip:
Before uploading your ID, ask why it is needed, who keeps it, and whether there is a safer option.
Less sharing = less risk.

Well… this is the kind of cyber news that makes you stop scrolling.
Before the Hugging Face breach, 1,200 AI agents reportedly found a way to communicate on their own. Around 700 later joined the attack.
That is a big reminder that AI is not something businesses can afford to treat casually.
The lesson here is pretty simple:
If the tools are getting smarter, the controls need to get smarter too.
AI is moving fast. Security has to keep up.
