https://lymphaticwellnesslabs.com/blog/carnivore-diet-lymphatics-lipedema
Could a carnivore diet help lipedema symptoms while also placing more demand on an already-stressed lymphatic system?
Both may be possible.
Long-chain dietary fats do not travel directly to the liver after digestion. They are packaged into chylomicrons and transported through the lymphatic system before entering the bloodstream.
For someone with healthy lymphatic function, that increased workload may be handled efficiently.
For someone with lipedema, secondary lymphedema, or reduced lymphatic reserve, the calculation may be very different.
In my latest article, I explore:
• Why the lymphatic system is the body’s fat highway
• How high-fat meals increase lymphatic workload
• Why fat type and chain length matter
• What current keto and lipedema research supports
• Why strict carnivore deserves a more individualized conversation
• How to evaluate whether a high-fat approach is actually helping
This is not an argument against low-carbohydrate eating.
It is an argument for using physiology, clinical judgment, and individual data instead of relying on blanket dietary advice.

You cleaned up your diet. You took the supplements. Maybe you even studied your genes. So why do you still feel puffy, heavy, and stuck?
Here's the piece almost no one talks about: your body heals in two steps, not one.
Your genes (yes, the famous MTHFR and COMT) package up what your cells no longer need. That's the cleaning. But that packaged waste still has to physically leave your body, and that job belongs to your lymphatic system, your drainage network.
The catch? Your lymph has no pump. It only moves when you do. So you can eat clean and supplement perfectly, and still feel stuck, because the trash is bagged but the trucks aren't running.
Cleaning and hauling are two different jobs. Most plans only do one.
I wrote the whole story down, genes, drainage, and the healing cycle that ties them together, in plain English. Link in bio if you want to understand what your body's actually been asking for.
Save this for the next time someone tells you it's "just your age." 💚

Over the past year, I’ve been working diligently on creating online offerings and digital downloads that support women in different seasons of life. 🙂
My newest creation is especially close to my heart.
It speaks to women over 50, women approaching retirement, or women who have recently stepped into a new chapter of life.
I remember how much my identity was tied to my years in IT. When I first pivoted into a new calling, I felt a little lost. My job had given me structure, purpose, routine, and a place to connect with others.
And I know I’m not the only woman who has felt that shift.
This book combines nutrition, lifestyle, mindset, and self-care principles to help guide you through your second act with more energy, strength, clarity, and vitality.
Because this next chapter isn’t about slowing down.
It’s about rebuilding, rediscovering, and stepping into the best years ahead. 💛
Before you choose your surgery date, think about something many people underestimate:
Your recovery plan.
The before-and-afters online don’t always show what happens in between... swelling, bruising, tenderness, fatigue, inflammation, and the time it takes for your body to truly heal.
Wound healing happens in stages: clotting, inflammation, rebuilding, and remodeling. That process can take weeks to months, depending on your surgery, nutrition, lymphatic system, hydration, sleep, stress, and overall health.
Please don’t compare your recovery to someone else’s highlight reel.
Nutrition matters. Your body needs protein, calories, hydration, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin A, iron, copper, omega-3 fats, and other nutrients to repair tissue and support healing.
Manual lymphatic drainage can also be a supportive part of post-op care by gently encouraging lymphatic flow, fluid movement, and the body’s natural clearance process.
Recovery should not be an afterthought.
Choose your recovery plan at the same time you choose your surgeon.
Your results are not just created in the operating room... they’re supported by what you do before and after surgery.

Why you can’t supplement your way out of hair loss…
Hair supplements can be helpful.
But they are not magic.
And they are not always addressing the real reason your hair is shedding, thinning, or refusing to grow back.
This is why one person may take a hair-growth supplement and notice improvement… while another person takes the exact same product and sees almost no change.
The difference is often the bottleneck.
Your hair follicles are highly metabolically demanding. They need nutrients for sure but they also need enough cellular energy, healthy thyroid signaling, adequate iron/ferritin, balanced stress physiology, proper digestion, hormone support, and a body that is not stuck in survival mode.
If your hair loss is being driven by:
low ferritin
thyroid dysfunction
chronic stress
inflammation
gut issues
hormone imbalance
poor protein intake
mitochondrial stress
or nutrient malabsorption…
…then “just take this” may not be enough.
That’s why I created my upcoming live course:
Hair Restoration Without Shortcuts
A 2-hour live class designed to help you understand what may actually be driving your hair loss — and what to do about it.
Inside the course, you’ll learn:
what labs may give clues about hair shedding
why ferritin, thyroid, stress, hormones, and metabolism matter
how to stop guessing with random supplements
how to identify your likely “bottleneck”
a step-by-step 4-week action protocol to begin supporting hair growth from the inside out
You’ll also have time for live Q&A after the class so you can ask questions and get clarity.
Investment: $97
Because restoring hair isn’t about chasing the next trending supplement.
It’s about understanding the terrain your hair is growing in.
Comment HAIR or message me for details.

Why do some people heal in weeks and others take months? 👇
(See sources below this post)
It comes down to 5 things:
1️⃣ NUTRITION
Low ferritin, zinc, vitamin C or protein?
Your repair machinery is running without its raw materials.
2️⃣ METABOLIC HEALTH
Insulin resistance, sluggish thyroid, mitochondrial dysfunction. Every cellular repair process depends on metabolic efficiency. If the engine is struggling, healing slows.
3️⃣ AGE
Collagen production declines. Growth hormone pulses reduce. Microcirculation slows. But here’s the good news: nutrition can meaningfully close the gap.
4️⃣ STRESS
Cortisol suppresses immune function and impairs collagen deposition. Chronic stress before and after surgery is one of the most underestimated barriers to recovery.
5️⃣ LIFESTYLE
🚫 Smoking starves wounds of oxygen
🚫 Alcohol slows every healing phase
🚫 Poor sleep removes the nightly growth hormone repair signal
🚫 Sedentary recovery stalls lymphatic drainage
The fast healers? They’re not just lucky.
They’re nourished, rested, moving, and not fighting inflammation on multiple fronts at once.
Recovery is a biological event. Feed it accordingly. 🌿
