Did you catch my last video?

Once you've got clarity on your ideal path, it's time to protect your time, energy, and focus on only the things that will move you forward.

Say yes to what aligns with your dreams and NO when it doesn't. 🀍

"I'm just in a busy season."

I've said it. You've probably said it. We all say it.

But here's the question that stopped me cold:

Does your season have an end date?

Because if it doesn't, it's not a season anymore. It's your life.

Our guest on the podcast last week has a friend who has been "in a busy season" for ten years.

A decade of telling herself things will calm down soon.

If that's hitting a little too close to home β€” same. Mark a date on the calendar. Tell someone. Make it real.

Otherwise the season just becomes the whole story.

Amazing things happen when we say "YES" to the amazing opportunities out there. ✨

What opportunity are you saying "Yes" to today? πŸ‘‡

There's a reason "what's next?" never stops. 🧠

Hitting a goal lights up the same region of your brain as addiction does. Same dopamine. Same craving for the next hit.

So you hit the milestone. You feel good for about a minute. And then your brain says: bigger. better. more.

That's not ambition. That's a loop.

And for most of us, the loop doesn't break on its own. It breaks when something forces it to β€” a health scare, a loss, a body that finally says enough.

Here's what I'm sitting with this week: What if I stopped waiting for life to force me to slow down? What if I just… chose it?

What does enough actually look like for you? πŸ‘‡

"Women are better leaders than men."

Meghan French Dunbar β€” who has interviewed over 1,000 business leaders β€” actually pulled back the layers on that one.

Here's what's really happening:

Women weren't born better leaders.
They became bilingual. πŸ—£οΈ

They learned to lead with the traits we labeled "masculine" and the ones we labeled "feminine" β€” because the business world demanded it.

Men were never asked to do the same.

So the question isn't which gender leads better.
It's: who's willing to learn the full language?

A season has an end date.

If yours doesn't… it's not a season anymore. It's just your life.

Your identity is not your work. Full stop. πŸ’›

For high achievers, that one sentence is brutal to swallow.

But here's the part Harvard's Human Flourishing Program has the data on:

A good life isn't built at your desk. It's built in deep, meaningful connection. In the things that light your soul on fire. In a body and mind you've actually taken care of.

And most of us trade all of it for success at work β€” then wonder why we're burnt out, stressed, and quietly sick.

What's one quality-of-life thing you've been putting off until "things calm down"? πŸ‘‡

Do you find yourself hitting every goal and still asking "what's next?"

If that loop sounds familiar, you're not broken. You're human.

This week, Sophia and I sat down with Meghan French Dunbar β€” bestselling author of This Isn't Working and TEDx speakerβ€” and she said something I haven't been able to shake:

Your worth is not your work. πŸ’›

We talked about the achievement trap, why your manager can affect your mental health as much as your spouse, and how naming just a handful of values can change the way you walk into any room.

As a mom watching my daughter head off to college, this one hit close to home.

Because here's the part most of us get backwards: Your quality of life isn't the reward you earn after the success. It's the whole point.

She graduated. πŸŽ“
She's heading to college in the fall.
And the lesson I most want her to carry with her?

Rest is a skill. 🀍

Not a reward you earn after the to-do list is done.
Not something that happens when life finally slows down.
A practice. A habit. A choice you make on purpose.

We talked about all of it on the podcast a few weeks back β€” the cortisol, the scrolling, the tired-but-wired loop so many high achievers live in.

If I can send her into this next chapter with one thing, let it be this:
You don't have to earn your peace. You just have to protect it.
