Arizona monsoons can roll in fast, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, lightning, and blowing dust. A few simple precautions can help keep your furry family members safe:

🐶 Bring pets indoors before the storm arrives.
🏡 Make sure gates, fences, and doors are secure.
🏷️ Check that collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date in case your pet gets spooked and escapes.
⚡ Keep pets away from windows and outside during lightning and high winds.
💧 Avoid flooded streets and standing water on walks after the storm.
💊 If your pet struggles with storm anxiety, don’t wait until the storm is overhead—contact us ahead of time to discuss options.

On July 7th, Desert Rose Animal Hospital celebrates its first anniversary.
A year ago, we opened our doors with a dream of creating a place where pets receive exceptional care, clients feel heard, and veterinary medicine is practiced with compassion, honesty, and integrity.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Building a hospital from the ground up came with long days, challenges, and plenty of uncertainty—but it has also brought countless rewarding moments and incredible relationships.
To every client who trusted us, every rescue partner who believed in us, and every member of our amazing team—thank you. Your support has made this first year more meaningful than we could have imagined.
We’re so grateful to be part of this community, and we can’t wait to continue caring for your pets for many years to come.

🇺🇸 4th of July Pet Safety Reminder ❤️🤍💙

The 4th of July is a time for celebration, but it can also be one of the most stressful days of the year for our pets. A little preparation can help keep them safe and comfortable.

Here are a few reminders:
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks.
🐾 Create a quiet, secure space where they can relax.
🐾 Double-check that ID tags and microchip information are current.
🐾 Keep holiday foods, alcohol, and fireworks away from curious pets.
🐾 If your pet struggles with fireworks anxiety, talk with your veterinarian before the holiday about medications or other options to help keep them comfortable.

📅 Need to pick up medication or have concerns before the holiday? Desert Rose Animal Hospital will be open normal business hours on Friday, July 3rd. We encourage you to plan ahead, as we will be closed for Independence Day (Saturday).
