We listen for the still-speaking God. Join us for worship on Sundays at 10:30 am MST at 555 W. Glendale Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona, on the southeast corner of 7th Avenue and Glendale. Our Mission:
Church of the Beatitudes is a joyfully inclusive and diverse community that embraces the many differences that come with being human. We believe that all people are made in the loving image of God and we recognize many paths to the Holy. Growing in our spiritual and communal life together, we worship, study, and serve our community. Rooted in our history and tradition, we are a progressive Christian voice in the wider world. We are powerful advocates for social justice in our community. We are a vibrant, inspiring, innovative church in changing times. Church of the Beatitudes affirms that every person has worth as a unique creation made in the image of God. We recognize, celebrate and give thanks for the many diverse gifts of God among us. We declare ourselves to be an Open and Affirming congregation, welcoming into the full life and ministry of the Church persons of every race, culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability and economic status. Church of the Beatitudes is a community of faith-keeping and faith-seeking people grounded in stories and truths contained in the scriptures. We are open to insights and interpretations of God revealed to us through new experiences, different faiths and diverse cultures. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for the formation of Christian disciples through worship and spiritual enrichment, to offer the education and training for this discipleship and to encourage the practice of this discipleship in the world. We are an Open and Affirming Congregation. What does it mean to be a progressive Christian community? We are an intentionally inclusive community. We recognize the sacred with in all people, as each one of us is a beloved child of God. As people of faith, we recognize our call to work for justice in our world.Explore the many ways that we seek to serve our world. We recognize that families come in many shapes, sizes, and configurations. We celebrate the ways through which God's love is shared with those we call family. We recognize that we are all on a sacred journey. We commit to travel respectfully and in support of our fellow journeyers. We believe that there are many paths to God including, but not exclusively, through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Thinking of doing some Christmas shopping? The aprons and quilts exhibit is still available for viewing and SHOPPING! There are many choices of colorful and patterned aprons, table runners and cosys. A cosy is a holder that protects hot bowls and keeps them warm!

Save the Date! Cruisin' Cuisines will head over to Haus Murphy's, 5739 West Glendale, Glendale, Az, on Thursday, October 1 at 5:30pm, for an early Octoberfest dinner. They have great beers, appetizers, schnitzels, and a variety of other German main dishes.
Please RSVP to Nancy and Mike by Monday, September 28, to give our hosts an accurate count.

Join us for Sunday worship! Let’s gather together, encourage one another, and start our week in God's presence. This week Rev. Jim Meadows will be leading service and has prepared a sermon titled, "Where did THAT come from?". The theme to reflect on is: God provides for us people, opportunities, blessings and experiences when we most need them. This coming Sunday, Rev. Sandi Anthony will be leading service and will deliver a sermon titled, "Forgiveness and the Road to Freedom". The theme to reflect on is: Clinging to anger without offering forgiveness ultimately harms us. Music will be led by music director, Andrez Alcazar, along with the Beatitudes Song Leaders.
During service we will honor Rev. Rich Smith's 50th year of ordination. He will be present in service along with his family. Rev. Smith will lead the benediction and special music will be played in his honor.
After service everyone is invited to fellowship hour hosted by CLM in Nelson Hall.
Service begins at 10:30am in the Worship Center.
