Hi! My name is Angel, and I’d like to introduce you to my very best friend, Stuffy Bunny! 🐰💕 Bunny has been my one constant through a lot of changes lately, so I like to keep her close.

I was once the beloved pet of a child who sadly wasn’t in the best family situation herself. She loved me enough to make an incredibly hard decision, asking a rescue to help me find the safe, happy life she wanted for me. ❤️

Two weeks ago, I came to Good Omen Dog Rescue and met my foster mom, Heather! She took me to the vet where I got an A+ on my bloodwork! I’m about 11 years old, but don’t let that fool you, I’m healthy, playful, happy, and act MUCH younger! I also had a dental and three rotten teeth removed, and I feel SO much better. I’m now spayed, vaccinated and microchipped too!

I’m potty trained, dog friendly, playful, cuddly, and absolutely obsessed with belly rubs and sitting in your lap. I’ve also earned the title of “Stage 5 Clinger” because wherever you go, I’m coming too. 😂 I just really love being with my people!
Bunny and I are ready for our next chapter, and I’d LOVE for it to be with you. 🐰❤️

It’s been about two weeks since we welcomed Archie from the euthanasia list into the rescue, and he’s proving that his “behavior” was simply due to being in a scary shelter. He enjoys watching his foster mom work, lounges around, hangs out with the other resident dogs (4 of them) and now we have even more good news to share!

Archie saw Dr Johnson this week at Sun City West Animal Hospital and we are happy to report that his bloodwork came back normal with no heart murmur! This means we can proceed to getting Archie’s dental done and then he will be eligible for adoption!!

When rescuing mostly senior and medical dogs, good news can be few and far between, there are so many unknowns. We are so happy for Archie to move to the next step (his dental) to get him more comfortable and find his forever family!

💔 Oreo Needed Us. Now We Need YOU! 💔

About a month ago, Oreo was found wandering alone in the Arizona heat, covered in HUNDREDS of ticks in all stages of life. It took over 4 hours just to remove them from his little body and get him comfortable.

Since then, Oreo has had senior bloodwork, vaccines, and on Tuesday, his much-needed dental and neuter.

What they found was heartbreaking. 💔

Oreo was already missing 26 teeth from age and neglect and needed 13 MORE removed. We can’t imagine the pain this sweet senior had been living with.

Hundreds of ticks. A painful mouth. Wandering in the heat. No living thing should have to endure what Oreo has.
Today, Oreo is safe, comfortable and healing. But his veterinary care totaled OVER $1,800, and our rescue is dangerously low on donations.

🎉❤️ QUINTEN FOUND HIS FOREVER FAMILY! ❤️🎉

Our sweet Quinten has officially found the family he’s been waiting for! 🥹🏡

When we first met Quinten, he was sitting at MCACC on the euthanasia list with his deadline quickly approaching. His future was uncertain… until his incredible foster mom stepped up and said YES to saving his life. ❤️

Because Kristen Scott opened her home to him, Quinten got the time he needed to show everyone what we already knew, that underneath all that playful energy is the sweetest, happiest little guy who just wanted a family of his own.

And now he has one. 🥹

Quinten has two new dog siblings AND a kitty friend, who he is already being so incredibly sweet with. 🐶🐶🐱❤️

He went from running out of time at the shelter to being surrounded by a whole family who gets to love him for the rest of his life.

We are SO incredibly happy for this boy. After waiting and watching other dogs find their homes, Quinten finally got his turn. 🥹😭

Fosters are the reason dogs like him get a second chance, and because his foster mom stepped up when he needed someone most, Quinten now has the life and family he always deserved.

My Story:

MEDICAL
This gentleman weighs roughly 63 pounds. His teeth are severely worn down, and he will require a dental procedure. He is also a little underweight and is being treated for a bilateral ear infection. This pup has rough skin under his coat, with hot spots and wounds around his neck, likely due to a collar. Due to his age, bloodwork is recommended prior to his dental, as well as ensuring he is gaining weight appropriately. Because of his multiple medical concerns, we are hoping to find this sweet, elderly guy placement with a rescue who can give him the TLC he needs outside of the shelter environment.

BEHAVIOR
This pup is super sweet and was such a good boy for his exam! He may act a little shy at first, but soon his tail starts wagging, and he looks at you with his adorable puppy eyes.

Stray. This ol’ guy will be on rescue portal until end of day 8/11. He is currently on stray wait and cannot leave the shelter until after 8/10 @ 10:13am.

Meet Dora! 🌸

Hi! I’m Dora, and I guess you could say I took “exploring” a little too seriously.

A couple of months ago, I was found wandering around South Phoenix on an adventure all by myself. I wasn’t exactly sure where I was headed, but somehow my journey led me to Good Omen Dog Rescue and my amazing foster mom, Debbie. I think I ended up exactly where I was supposed to be.

I’m about 6 months old and Weigh 8lbs. I’m full of puppy energy! I love everyone I meet, wake up happy every single day, and I haven’t found a toy I don’t absolutely love. Whether we’re playing, going for a walk, or hopping in the car for an adventure, I’m always ready to have fun.

I’m doing really well with my training, too! I walk beautifully on a leash, ride great in the car, and I’m almost completely potty trained!

Like most puppies, I can get a little mouthy when I get excited. I’m not being mean, I just get so happy that sometimes my excitement gets the best of me! My foster family has been working with me every day, and I’m getting better all the time.

I’m looking for a family that’s ready for all the fun, laughs, and love that come with raising a puppy. If you’re looking for a happy, goofy best friend to grow up with, I think we might be the perfect match.

💔 Quinten Is still waiting for his forever family 💔

Hi! I’m Quinten (Quinn) and I’ve been waiting since May for my family to find me.

I’ve watched other dogs pack their bags, hop in the car with their new families, and start the next chapter of their lives.

Every time, I’m happy for them... but I can’t help wondering... When will it be my turn?

I’m about 2 years old and 16 pounds of pure happiness. I love to play, I love to make people laugh, and I wake up every day excited about life. I don’t know why no one has picked me yet.

Maybe it’s because I’m not a tiny puppy anymore.
Maybe I just haven’t found my person.
But I know they’re out there!

I’m good with dogs, cats, and kids, I’m fully vetted, and all I really want is a family to throw my toys, let me snuggle after a long day, and love me forever.

Hi, I’m Churro! And I’m on the search for my forever family

This brave little guy has come such a long way. After being rescued from the euthanasia list, Churro was diagnosed with heartworm disease and spent the last several months completing treatment. We're so happy to say he's now ready for his next chapter!

❤️ We're looking for a foster-to-adopt home.

While Churro has completed treatment, he'll need one final heartworm recheck in about 6 months (covered by Good Omen Dog Rescue) to officially confirm he's heartworm-free. We'd love for him to start settling into his forever home now while we finish what we started and ensure he's healthy for his new family.

Churro is a playful, toy-obsessed little guy who loves other dogs and just needs a patient family to let him blossom. Once he trusts you, he'll be your best friend.

🚨 ARCHIE IS ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST WITH A DEADLINE OF TOMORROW. 🚨

Archie is a 9 year-old, 12 pound Chihuahua who spent the last 3½ years as a beloved family pet and emotional support companion. When his family’s living situation changed, they were forced to surrender him. Now, instead of a warm lap, he’s sitting in a scary shelter with his life on the line.

Archie is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, low energy, and loves attention once he feels safe. He’s understandably scared in the shelter, but he slowly warms up with patience, treats, and kindness.

And for everyone who always asks... yes, Archie likes cats! 🐱❤️ He even lived peacefully with pet birds.

He does have some senior medical needs, including dental disease and a heart murmur, but we will make sure he gets the care he needs.

We just need a foster home to save him.

Hi there! I’m Dash! 👋

First things first... yes, I know I need a haircut, but I’m going for the “mysterious” look…

I’m an energetic little guy who loves to play, but I’m also incredibly happy to curl up in your lap and get aaaallll the pets. I think it’s important to have a good balance in life!

I’m a good boy and eat all my food when it’s breakfast and dinner time. I LOVE treats too! Crunchy or meaty... I’ll eat them all. 😋

I’m working on my potty training and getting better every day in my foster home. My foster says I’m making great progress!

I have two dog friends., a 50-pound doodle and a 10-pound Yorkie. So I’d say I’m pretty good with dogs of all sizes.

I’m still working on my leash manners. I can’t help it... there are just so many things to sniff! Every walk is a new adventure.

I’m a little shy when we first meet, but once I’m comfortable, I’ll be right by your side every step of the way. I’ll even jump for joy when you come home because seeing my favorite people is the best part of my day!
