We enjoyed a great Veterans’ Café this morning at Sun City Post Acute in Sun City, Arizona.

Veterans shared stories and laughs, strengthening lasting bonds. We also helped Veterans request DD214s and followed up on pending VA applications. No Veteran should stand alone.

Great turnout at our Veteran coffee social in Mesa, Arizona! We welcomed five new Veterans, heard their stories, and strengthened connections. Thanks to our regulars for reaching out in their communities.

We discussed VA healthcare, benefits, claims, legislative updates, and staying connected through Veteran service organizations. Thanks to Dr. Carl Forkner, CEO of Disabled American Veterans Department of Arizona and Chuck Byers, President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Arizona State Council, for joining us and sharing valuable guidance.

We also put words into action. Two Veterans submitted claims through DAV, we sponsored two VVA memberships, and we welcomed home and honored an Army Vietnam Veteran among his peers. Less HOOAH—More DOOAH!

Thanks to Terri Flowers and our amazing volunteers for helping every Veteran feel seen, heard, supported, and remembered.

We had enjoyed a wonderful breakfast social with our Veteran seniors at Fellowship Square in Mesa, Arizona.

Veterans shared stories of military service, overseas assignments, and adventures around the world. Familiar memories sparked laughter, lively conversation, and stronger friendships.

We encouraged Veterans to stay connected. Wearing a Veteran cap can spark a conversation, and a simple buddy check reminds fellow Veterans they are valued and remembered.

We also cautioned Veterans about catfishing and romance scams. Fraudsters may exploit loneliness or grief to build trust and steal money. Protect your personal information and talk with someone you trust before sending money.

To report a scam, contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at (877) 382-4357 or visit ReportFraud.ftc.gov

Thank you to the Fellowship Square staff for their warm hospitality and to our dedicated volunteers for helping every Veteran feel seen, heard, supported, and remembered.

We brought a little sunshine to a rainy morning at the Globe - Miami Elks Lodge in Globe, Arizona. It was wonderful to see Veterans and their Families come together for stories, support, and plenty of good humor.

Veterans shared memories of their service, duty assignments, and experiences around the world. Their stories brought warmth to the room and strengthened the bonds we share.

For Veterans in rural communities, gatherings like this offer a chance to build friendships and look out for one another. Every visit is a reminder: you are seen, valued, and remembered. No Veteran should stand alone.

Thank you to Army Veteran and Veterans Affinity volunteer Linda Merlin for leading the discussion this morning. We’re also grateful to the volunteers who traveled to join us. Your time and commitment help Veterans build lasting connections.
