This heat is no joke! Pythons, remember to bring a water bottle daily! We’ve given out over 100 reusable ones, and Mr. Williams has about 100 more for any students who need one. During lunch, we have ice water in dispensers by the field, and remember to refill your bottle throughout the day with one of our many chilled, filtered water bottle stations at each water fountain. And as a reminder, if it’s over 105° during lunch, the field will be off limits, with our only outdoor dining option being the covered patio with the giant evap cooler (which feels super nice!).
We’ve upgraded all of the water fountains and bottle fillers! Bring your water bottles daily, and stay hydrated!

It’s day 3 of our rising 8th graders’ summer camp, and the students are learning character design! This is an important stage in planning graphics for several things, including video game design, as well as writing graphic novels and comics!

On day 2 of our STEM camp for rising 8th graders, students assembled their rockets, did test flights, modified them more, then flew them again! The rockets were carrying sensors the students programmed themselves so they could download data from their flights!

On day 1 of our middle school STEM camp, kids are designing 3D prints, coding micro:bits, and launched a test rocket! Tomorrow, they launch their own rockets!
As we wrap up week 1 of Freshman LAUNCH, our summer program for our incoming 9th graders, we want to share a peek into their first taste of IDL projects! Students collaborated to research, design, plan, and build mini-golf obstacles, and today they finalized and played the course! Students learned skills that will make them successful both in high school and beyond! ✅ Collaboration ✅ Iteration ✅ Creativity ✅ STEAM Integration ⛳️
